westerly at right angles to the last-mentioned line, across Marshland Road, Rural Sections 1527, 811, and 589, to the boundary of Rural Section 419; thence north-westerly to the railway-line; thence north-easterly along the railway-line to the road forming the north-west boundary of Rural Section 1765; thence north-easterly and south-easterly along the north-west and north-east boundaries of Rural Sections 1765, 1788, 1796 to the south-east corner of the last-mentioned section; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of Rural Sections 1796, 1788, 1765 to the starting-point: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of March and the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Waimairi County Council held on the 6th day of May, 1912.

THE following resolution, made by the Amuri County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

AMURI COUNTY COUNCIL.

THE following resolution was passed by the Amuri County Council at a meeting held on the 4th day of May, 1912:—

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 4 of the Local Bodies' Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Amuri County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the instalments of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Amuri County Council, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for the payment of the Council's proportion of the cost of constructing a traffic-bridge across the Waipara River, the Amuri County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/435 of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value of all the lands within the county; and such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of May and the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Amuri County Council at its meeting on the 4th day of May, 1912.

OTAHUHU ROAD BOARD.

Notice is hereby given that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Otahuhu Road District taken on the 27th April, 1912, —

  1. The number of votes recorded for the proposal that a sum of £7,000 be borrowed for the completion and extension of the drainage and waterworks system in the Otahuhu Road District was as follows: For the proposal, 84; against the proposal, 15.

  2. The number of votes recorded for the proposal that the sum of £3,000 be borrowed for improving the Great South Road and roads adjacent thereto was as follows: For the proposal, 86; against the proposal, 12.

  3. The number of votes recorded for the proposal that the sum of £750 be borrowed for acquiring a site for offices for the Otahuhu Road Board and for erecting workshops was as follows: For the proposal, 76; against the proposal, 18.

I therefore declare that all the above proposals were carried.

BOROUGH OF PATEA.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Patea taken on the 24th day of April, 1912, on the proposal of the Patea Borough Council to borrow the sum of £5,000 for the erection of a town hall and municipal buildings, and the furnishing of the same, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 125, the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 31, and the number of informal votes recorded was 1.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
