THE following resolution, made by the Waikohu County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

WAIKOHU COUNTY COUNCIL.
Resolution made on 19th Day of April, 1912.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act and amendments thereof, the Waikohu County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200, authorized to be raised by the Waikohu County Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of erecting a traffic-bridge over the Wharekopae River, known as McCreedie’s Crossing Bridge, the said Waikohu County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/24 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the McCreedie’s Crossing Bridge Special-rating District, comprising Lot 8, Tahora No. 2 Block, 1,316 acres; Section 2, Block VII, Ngatapa, 1,122 acres; part Lots 6, 7, 12, 13, and part Lot 9, Section 2c2, Tahora 2, 9,633 acres; Section 2, Block IX, Ngatapa, 1,405 acres; Sections 2 and 3, Block XIII, Ngatapa, 1,270 acres; Wharekopae 1b2 and 1a, Subdivision 1, 2,072 acres; Lots 10, 14, 15, 2c2, Tahora 2, 5,930 acres; Section 1, Block IX, Ngatapa, 1,069 acres; Wharekopae 1b3 and Section 1, Block VI, Ngatapa, 1,546 acres; Section 1, Block XIII, Ngatapa, 870 acres; Wharekopae 1b2a, 3,001 acres; Section 1, Block V, Ngatapa, 1,900 acres; Section 1, Block IX, Ngatapa, 1,179 acres: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be 3¾ per cent.

I HEREBY publicly notify that at the poll taken on the 24th day of April, 1912, on the proposal of the Wanganui Borough Council to borrow the sum of £25,000 for the following purposes—that is to say, the erection, construction, equipping, furnishing, and completely finishing of a building or buildings to be erected in the Town of Wanganui, and to be used for an opera house, municipal chambers, and offices combined or for the purposes thereof, and of all things incidental or relating thereto or used in connection therewith—the following votes were recorded:—

CHRISTCHURCH TRAMWAY BOARD.
In the matter of the Christchurch Tramway Board; and in the matter of the Christchurch Tramway District Act, 1906, and of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908; and in the matter of the Papanui Special-rating Area.
WE hereby give notice that a poll of the electors of the Papanui Tramway District Special Loan Rating-area was held on Thursday, the 25th day of April, 1912, on the proposal of the Christchurch Tramway Board to borrow, by way of special loan, the sum of £9,000, to be expended for the purpose of constructing and equipping a tramway in the above special-rating area, particulars of which proposal have been already advertised in the newspaper; and that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For, 150; against, 20. And we declare the said proposal to be carried.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Inglewood taken on the 24th day of April, 1912, on the proposal of the Inglewood Borough Council to borrow the sum of £12,500 for the following purposes—(1) £8,500 for the purpose of purchasing the undertaking of the Inglewood Electric Light and Power Company (Limited), (2) £4,000 for the purpose of acquiring a site for and erecting thereon a town hall—the result of the poll was as follows:—
(1.) For purchasing the undertaking of the Inglewood Electric Light and Power Company (Limited), the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 110; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 70; informal, 4.
