viously appointed.

hundred and twelve.

Land temporarily reserved for a Gravel-pit in Block VIII,
Huangarua Survey District, Wellington Land District.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first
section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that
the Governor may from time to time, either by general or
particular description, and whether the same has been
surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwith-
standing that the same may be then held under pastoral
license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required
for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
And whereas by the sixty-ninth section of the Land for
Settlements Act, 1908, it is further provided that the
Governor may from time to time, as he thinks fit, set aside
reserves for any specified public purpose out of land ac-
quired under the last-mentioned Act, provided that no
land so acquired shall be set aside for endowments:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron
Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the said Acts, do hereby temporarily
reserve from sale the land in the Wellington Land Dis-
trict described in the Schedule hereunder written, for a
gravel-pit.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing
by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Section
No. 14 (Longbush Settlement), Block VIII, Huangarua
Survey District; as the same is delineated on the plan
marked L. 19264/153, deposited in the Head Office, De-
partment of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered
red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this eleventh day of April, one thousand nine
hundred and twelve.
