Regulation (Amended) for Deer-shooting, Canterbury Acclimatization District.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
WHEREAS by a Warrant dated the twenty-seventh day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, made under the Animals Protection Act, 1908, regulations were made prescribing the deer-shooting season in the Canterbury Acclimatization District: And whereas it is expedient to amend the said regulations as hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by the said Animals Protection Act, 1908, do hereby make the following regulation.

REGULATION.
The number of licenses to be issued by the Chief Postmaster at Christchurch, upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Canterbury Acclimatization Society, shall not exceed eleven.

Regulations for Deer-shooting, South Canterbury.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make the following regulations prescribing the deer-shooting season in the South Canterbury Acclimatization District (as defined in the New Zealand Gazette of the sixteenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven, comprising the Counties of Geraldine and Levels and part of the County of Mackenzie), and the conditions affecting the same, and also the form of license and the fee payable therefor.

REGULATIONS.

FALLOW-DEER bucks may be taken or killed within the South Canterbury Acclimatization District from the 1st day of April, 1912, to the 31st day of May, 1912, both days inclusive.

Licenses to take or kill such deer may be issued by the Postmaster at Temuka, upon the recommendation of the secretary of the South Canterbury Acclimatization Society, on payment of a license fee of £2, in the form prescribed in the Schedule hereto, and subject to the said Act and these regulations. The number of such licenses to be issued by the said Postmaster shall not exceed twenty; provided that not more than one such license shall be issued to the same person.

No licensee shall take or kill more than two fallow-deer bucks.

No doe or fawn shall be taken or killed on any pretext whatever; and no licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either himself or any attendant he may have with him.

Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorizing any person to sell any deer or portion thereof.

Any person committing a breach of any of these regulations shall be liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding £20.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of a Reserve in the Town of Timaru, Canterbury Land District.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
WHEREAS by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to change, exchange, or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in His Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; and in the case of any reserve made under the authority of section three hundred and twenty-one of the Land Act, 1908, if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose for which such reserve was set apart to any other purpose, or if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to exchange any of the land comprised in such reserve for other land of equal value, to be dedicated to one or more purposes named in the said Class II, the Governor may, by notice gazetted, make such change, exchange, or dedication, as the case may be, and in such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same is intended to be so made:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, aforesaid, declare my intention to change the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a site for a museum to an addition to a site for a drillshed.

SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 20 perches, more or less, being part of Reserve 104, Town of Timaru, and bounded as follows: Towards the north by other part of Reserve 104, 250 links; towards the east by a railway reserve (part Reserve 104), 50 links; towards the south by Section 32, 250 links; and towards the west by High Street, 50 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1912/20, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

WHEREAS by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to change, exchange, or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in His Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; and in the case of any reserve made under the authority of section three hundred and twenty-one of the Land Act, 1908, if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose of such reserve or any part thereof from the purpose or presumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other purpose, or if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to exchange any of the land comprised in such reserve for other land of equal value, to be dedicated to one or more of the purposes named in the said Class II, the Governor may, by notice gazetted, make such change, exchange, or dedication, as the case may be, and in such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same is intended to be so made:
