Vesting Land in a Maori Land Board under the Provisions of Part XIV of the Native Land Act, 1909.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of March, 1912.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, BART.,
PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS section three hundred and fifty-two of the Native Land Act, 1909, enacts that, on the confirmation of any such regulation as is referred to in paragraph (a) or paragraph (b) of section three hundred and forty-six of that Act, the Governor may, if he thinks fit, by Order in Council vest the land affected by the resolution in the Maori Land Board of the district in which the land is situated; and the land shall thereupon become subject to Part XIV of that Act, and all the provisions of that Part shall apply thereto accordingly in the same manner as if all of that land had been set aside for leasing in the case of a resolution within the said paragraph (a), or for sale in the case of a resolution within the said paragraph (b):
And whereas by a resolution within the said paragraph (a) of the said section three hundred and forty-six, passed by the assembled owners and duly confirmed by the Aotea District Maori Land Board, it was resolved that the land set out in the Schedule hereto be vested in the Aotea District Maori Land Board under Part XIV of the said Act: And whereas it is expedient that the said land should be so vested:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers in this behalf vested in him by the aforesaid section three hundred and fifty-two, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby vest the land specified in the Schedule hereto in the Aotea District Maori Land Board for leasing, under the provisions of Part XIV of the Native Land Act, 1909.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land situate in the Retaruke Survey District, in the Provincial District of Wellington, containing 185 acres, more or less, being the land known as Retaruke No. 2 (Maungapowhero), and bounded as follows: On the south by the southern boundary of the Retaruke Block, on the west by a line running north from a point on the southern boundary about 65 chains from its intersection with the Retaruke River, on the north by Retaruke No. 3, and on the east by the Retaruke River.

Station to Pirere Trig. Station; on the east by a line bearing 34° 10′ 1″; on the south by Retaruke No. 4A; and on the west by a line bearing 47° 35′ 7″.
