one of section twenty-five of the Native Land Act, 1909, and
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby confer extended
jurisdiction upon the Native Land Court to investigate and
determine all matters aforesaid, or of any matter or question
which may arise in relation thereto, and which it will be
necessary to determine for the purpose aforesaid. And it is
hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under
the provisions in that behalf of the Native Land Act, 1909,
and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor
in Council to the proceedings hereby authorized.

Revocation of certain Orders in Council under Section 7
of the Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1911.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-
fifth day of March, 1912.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, BART.,
PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section seven of the Native Land
Claims Adjustment Act, 1911, it is enacted that,
notwithstanding anything in the Native Land Act, 1909,
the Governor may by Order in Council revoke, either
wholly or as to any part or parts of the land included
therein, any Order in Council made by the Governor under
powers conferred on him in that behalf by the said Act,
or by any other Act, whereby any of the lands mentioned
in the Schedule hereto have been declared to be subject to
any of the provisions or to any part of the said Act; and
thereupon the land so subject to such provisions or part of
the said Act shall, to the extent of the revocation, cease
to be so subject:
And whereas it appears that the Native owner is desirous
that the land set out in the Schedule hereto be revested in
him : And whereas the said land is not subject to any
lease, license, or contract of purchase : And whereas no
moneys are charged on the land or on the revenues thereof
in accordance with the provisions of the Native Land Act,
1909, or under any other authority :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the power and authority hereinbefore mentioned, and act-
ing by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the
Order in Council as set out in the first column of the
Schedule hereto, only in so far as set out in the second
column of the said Schedule.

Vesting Land in a Maori Land Board under the Pro-
visions of Part XIV of the Native Land Act, 1909.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-
seventh day of March, 1912.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, BART.,
PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section three hundred and fifty-two of
the Native Land Act, 1909, it is enacted that, on
the confirmation of any such resolution as is referred to

in paragraph (a) or paragraph (b) of section three hun-
dred and forty-six of that Act, the Governor may, if he
thinks fit, by Order in Council vest the land affected
by the resolution in the Maori Land Board of the district
in which the land is situated; and the land shall there-
upon become subject to Part XIV of that Act, and all
the provisions of that Part shall apply thereto accord-
ingly in the same manner as if all of that land had been
set aside for lease in the case of a resolution within
the said paragraph (a), or for sale in the case of a resolu-
tion within the said paragraph (b):
And whereas by a resolution within the said para-
graph (a) of the said section three hundred and forty-
six, passed by the assembled owners and duly confirmed
by the Aotea District Maori Land Board, it was resolved
that the land set out in the Schedule hereto be vested in
the Aotea District Maori Land Board under Part XIV of
the said Act : And whereas it is expedient that the said
land should be so vested:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
in this behalf vested in him by the aforesaid section
three hundred and fifty-two, His Excellency the Governor
of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth
hereby vest the land specified in the Schedule hereto in
the Aotea District Maori Land Board for leasing under the
provisions of Part XIV of the Native Land Act, 1909.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land situate in the Retaruke
Survey District, in the Provincial District of Wellington,
containing 500 acres, more or less, being known as Retaruke
No. 1 (Ngamoturiki), and bounded as follows, starting at
Ngamoturiki Trig. Station : On the south by a line bearing
110° 51′ 57″ until it strikes the Retaruke River ; on the west
by the Retaruke River ; on the east by a line running north
from Ngamoturiki Trig. Station far enough to include the
500 acres ; and on the north by a line turning west to the
Retaruke River.
