Consent under Section 298 of the Native Land Act, 1909.
IN pursuance of the power conferred upon the Native Minister by subsection (b) of section 298 of the Native Land Act, 1909, I, James Carroll, Native Minister, acting on the recommendation of the Waiariki District Maori Land Board, do hereby consent to a sale of Maungarangi E No. 3G Block, containing 10 acres and 16 perches, to Mary Helen Graham, subject to the same restrictions and to the same requirements as to confirmation and otherwise as if the land was not subject to Part XVI of the Native Land Act, 1909.

MONTE VIDEO BAY.—A lt.-buoy, black, exh. a fl. white lt., is est. in 8½ fms., in 34° 55¼′ S., 56° 15′ W., srd. of Piedras Blancas, 18⅓ cables 178° (S. 6° E. mag.) from El Cerro Lt.-h. Note.—“Position approx.” has been charted against this buoy. Feb.
A lt.-buoy, exh. a fl. green lt., is est. about 230 ft. 202° (S. 18° W. mag.) from the shoalest part of La Sabina (Sarina) Rk. (34° 54′ S., 56° 13¾′ W.). Note.—The name “La Sabina” has been substituted for Sarina on the charts, and the note “marked by black buoys” against this rk. has been expunged. Feb.
ARCHIMEDES BANK.—A lt.-buoy, exh. a fl. red lt., is est. in 4½ fms., 35° 11½′ S., 56° 10′ W., on the N.-wrn. side of bank. Note.—“Position approx.” has been charted against this buoy. Feb.
RIO DE JANEIRO HARB.—The submarine bell-buoy, in entr. to harb., 2⅓ cables 181° (S. 10° W. mag.) from Fort Lage Lt.-h. (22° 56′ S., 43° 8¾′ W.), has been withdrawn. Feb.
EASTERN ARCHIPELAGO, ETC.
BULAN STRAIT.—A reef covered with boulders and which dries at L.W., exists in 1° 7¼′ N., 103° 53¼′ E., 2½ cables 104° (S. 77° E. mag.) from the S.-ern. extr. of Pulo Kila. Feb.
SUNDA STRAIT.—The rk., carrying less than 6 ft., originally reported in 1883, about 4 cables S.-erd. from Stroom Rks. (5° 55¾′ S., 105° 49′ E.), was not found in a subsequent survey, and has been expunged from the charts.
INDIAN OCEAN.
CEYLON.—COLOMBO HARB.—S.W. breakwater outer lt., occ. red, is replaced, until further notice, by a F. red lt., exh. from a Titan crane, in 6° 57′ N., 79° 50¾′ E., on the nrn. end of the S.W. breakwater extension. Feb.
ANDAMAN ISLANDS.—PORT BLAIR.—The colour of the leading-lts. on Atalanta Pt. (11° 40½′ N., 92° 45¼′ E.) has been altered from white to red. These lts. are in line, 215° (S. 35° W. mag.). The leading-lts. on S. Pt. are in line, 169° (S. 11° E. mag.). Feb.
RANGOON RIVER ENTR.—The extensive shoal reported to carry 15 ft., in 16° 15½′ N., 96° 17¼′ E., 6 miles 100° (S. 81° E. mag.) from China Bakir Lt.-h., has been unsucc. searched for, and expunged from the charts. Feb.
SPIT LT.-v.—On 22nd Nov., 1911, this lt.-v. (16° 27′ N., 96° 22′ E.) was temp. replaced by a reserve lt.-v., exh. a fl. white lt. every 45 secs., fl. 5 secs., ecl. 40 secs. Feb.
BAY OF BENGAL.—N. TERRIBLE RK.—A pyra. beacon surm. by a sphere, 30 ft. high, elev. 44 ft., which will be, later on, painted red and white, is est. in 19° 26½′ N., 93° 18′ E., on the rk. Feb.

COOS BAY.—BUOYS RENUMBERED.—Referring to Notice to Mariners No. 43 (3079) of 1911, further notice is given that on 4th November, 1911, the following buoys in Coos Bay, Oregon, were renumbered :—
Lone Tree Shoal buoy 1½ was renumbered 1B.
Lone Tree Shoal buoy 10½ was renumbered 12.
North Bend Flats buoy 12 was renumbered 14.
PORTER LIGHT.—POSITION.—Porter Light, established in Coos Bay, Oregon, 1st October, 1911, is located on the following bearings :—
Crawford Point, right tangent, 112° 30′.
Stone Mill Lower Range Lights, 196°.
Approx. position : Lat. 43° 23′ 50″ N., long. 124° 12′ 50″ W.
WASHINGTON.
GRAYS HARBOUR.—LIGHT ESTABLISHED.—Referring to Notice to Mariners No. 45 (3248) of 1911, further notice is given that on 10th January, 1912, the following lights were established in the channel leading to Aberdeen, Grays Harbour, Washington :—
North Channel Light No. 1.—A red post-lantern light, shown 16 ft. above the water from a cross-arm attached to an unpainted pile dolphin, located on the northern side of the channel, on the bearings :—
Stone monument, west of Hoquiam, 9° 30′.
Gas-pipe, west of Hoquiam, 46° 30′.
Hotel at Hoquiam, 78° 15′.
Approx. position : Lat. 46° 57′ 55″ N., long. 123° 57′ 20″ W.
North Channel Light No. 3.—A red post-lantern light, shown 16 ft. above the water from a cross-arm attached to an unpainted pile, located on the northern side of the channel, on the bearings :—
