Resolution made by the Council of the County of Waitotara.

THE following resolution, made by the Waitotara County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Waitotara County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £4,000, authorized to be raised by the Waitotara County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for half-cost of the construction of the Ahuahu Valley Road, the said Waitotara County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2¼d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Ahuahu Special-rating District, containing Sections 1, Block II, Waipakura Survey District; part Puketotara Block 2d2 (2,419 acres); Section 3, Block 12, Momohaki; Section 3, Block 13, Tauakira Survey District; Section 2, Block 13, Tauakira Survey District; Section 1, Block 16, Tauakira Survey District; Section 2, Block 14, Tauakira Survey District; Section 3, Block 14, Tauakira Survey District; Ohutu Section 1, Block 9, Tauakira Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Waitotara County Council held on Monday, 8th January, 1912.

THE following notices, received from the Mayor of the Borough of Gisborne, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

GISBORNE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Acts amending the same respectively.

I HEREBY give notice that on the 20th day of December, 1911, a proposal was submitted by the Gisborne Borough Council to the ratepayers of the Borough of Gisborne for raising a special loan of £15,750 for the purpose of completing the sewerage of the borough, and for extra reticulation, and that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For, 551; against, 91.

And I declare the said proposal to be carried.

GISBORNE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Acts amending the same respectively.

I HEREBY give notice that on the 20th day of December, 1911, a proposal was submitted by the Gisborne Borough Council to the ratepayers of the Borough of Gisborne for raising a special loan of £5,250, for the purposes of storm-water drainage, and that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For, 489; against, 142.

And I declare the said proposal to be carried.

GISBORNE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Acts amending the same respectively.

I HEREBY give notice that on the 20th day of December, 1911, a proposal was submitted by the Gisborne Borough Council to the ratepayers of the Borough of Gisborne for raising a special loan of £2,500 for the purposes of acquiring a cemetery-site, and that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For, 461; against, 165.

And I declare the said proposal to be carried.

GISBORNE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Acts amending the same respectively.

I HEREBY give notice that on the 20th day of December, 1911, a proposal was submitted by the Gisborne Borough Council to the ratepayers of the Borough of Gisborne for raising a special loan of £3,500 for the purpose of erecting a bridge across the Waimata River, at or near Ormond Road, and that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For, 468; against, 168.

And I declare the said proposal to be carried.

GISBORNE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Acts amending the same respectively.

I HEREBY give notice that on the 20th day of December, 1911, a proposal was submitted by the Gisborne Borough Council to the ratepayers of the Borough of Gisborne for raising a special loan of £15,750 for the purpose of reinstatement of waterworks main pipe-line and construction of a settling tank or reservoir, and that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For, 551; against, 99.

And I declare the said proposal to be carried.

GISBORNE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1903, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Acts amending the same respectively.

I HEREBY give notice that on the 20th day of December, 1911, a proposal was submitted by the Gisborne Borough Council to the ratepayers of the Borough of Gisborne for raising a special loan of £15,750 for the purpose of repaying to Street Loan Account the amount spent upon the Patutahi Quarry line, and that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For, 487; against, 148.

And I declare the said proposal to be carried.
