Resolution made by the Council of the County of Featherston.

THE following resolution, made by the Featherston County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate.—Waihenga Bridge Loan, £2,000.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and amendments thereto, the Featherston County Council hereby resolves: That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the loan of £2,000 and the interest thereon, by the periodical payments as required by the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, and the charges and expenses incidental thereto, which loan is authorized to be raised by the Featherston County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for the purpose of erection of the bridge (called the Waihenga Bridge) over the Ruamahunga River, near Martinborough, and expenses incidental thereto, the Featherston County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/40 of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable properties within the Waihenga Bridge Special-rating District No. 2, comprising the whole of the Otaraia, Awhea, Pahaoa, and Martinborough Ridings of the Featherston County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of May and the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off. It is the intention to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the same, but not the interest for the first year. The rate of interest to be 3½ per centum per annum. The annual amount of interest and principal shall be £4 17s. 6d. per centum per annum, payable in equal half-yearly instalments.

The foregoing resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Featherston County Council held at Martinborough, this 20th day of December, 1911.

CASTLEPOINT COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate.

PROPOSED by Councillor Piimer, seconded by Councillor Speedy, That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Castlepoint County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £600, authorized to be raised by the Castlepoint County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for the purpose of acquiring, fencing, forming, and metalling a deviation on the Tinui–Manawa Section of the Tinui–Alfredton Road, the said Castlepoint County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·042 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property comprised within the following special-rating area, being a portion of the West Riding of the county—viz., Sections 174, 184, 173, 187, in Block XI, Puketoi Survey District; Sections 175, 172, 166, 167, 165, 162, 183, 171, 168, 185, 163, 170, 169, 164, 160, 823, part of Section 822, all in Block XV, Puketoi Survey District; Sections 192, 161, 186, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, part 820, and part 822, all in Block XVI, Puketoi Survey District; Sections 819, 9, 10, 11, 12, and part 820, all in Block XIII, Aohanga Survey District; Sections 821, 232, 236, 231, 235, 230, 234, all in Block I, Castlepoint Survey District; Sections 824, 825, 156, 155, 154, 153, 159, 158, 827, 826, 828, 397, 398, 179, 178, 180, 177, and part 822, all in Block III, Mangapakeha Survey District; Sections 833, 829, 830, 832, 831, 835, 834, 836, 115, 116, 117, 120, 228, 226, 227, part 820, and part 821, all in Block IV, Mangapakeha Survey District; Sections 811, 812, 869, 305, 304, 302, 303, all in Block VI, Mangapakeha Survey District; Sections 118, 119, 121, 176, 399, 400, 401, 402, 138, 306, 301, 300, 393, 389, 390, 848, 816, 190, 188, 794, 122, and 123, all in Block VII, Mangapakeha Survey District; Sections 126, 139, 125, 140, all in Block VIII, Mangapakeha Survey District; Sections 870, 871, and part 877, in Block X, Mangapakeha Survey District; Sections 901, 189, 124, and 191, in Block XI, Mangapakeha Survey District; Section 141, in Block XII, Mangapakeha Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE following resolution, made by the Waimarino County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

WAIMARINO COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Waimarino County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200, being 10 per cent. additional on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Waimarino County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, the said Waimarino County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Morikau No. 1 Special-rating District, as described on page 3150 of the New Zealand Gazette of the 11th day of August, 1910; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, the interest and repayment on such loan being at the rate of £4 17s. 6d. per centum per annum.

The above special rate is in addition to the special rate levied over the Morikau No. 1 Special-rating District as gazetted on page 3150 of the New Zealand Gazette aforesaid.

It is proposed to pay out of the loan-moneys the first year’s interest and the cost of raising the loan.

I, Peter Brass, Chairman of the Waimarino County Council, do hereby certify that the above resolution was made at a special meeting of the said Waimarino County Council held on the 16th day of December, 1911.
