CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD.

Re Avon No. 1 Loan.—Resolution.

On the motion of Mr. Richardson, seconded by Mr. Staples, it was resolved as follows :—

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof, the Christchurch Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the sinking fund, interest, and other charges on a loan of £200, authorized to be raised by the Christchurch Drainage Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of widening and deepening the drain running through the district described in the Schedule hereunder written to its junction with No. 2 drain, the said Christchurch Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the special-rating area comprised and described in the Schedule hereunder written ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 31st day of March and the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Schedule.

All that district, being part of Rural Sections 1604, 1681, 1682, and 1778, in the Christchurch Survey District, Blocks VII and VIII, commencing at a point on Canal Reserve, being 1580 links north of Preston’s Road ; thence due east for a distance of 2500 links ; thence southerly by a line parallel with the Canal Reserve, a distance of 6699 link or thereabouts ; thence westerly at a right angle, for a distance of 425 links or thereabouts, to the drain which runs from Canal Reserve to Horse-shoe Lake, known as the No. 2 drain ; thence northerly by the said No. 2 drain to the Canal Reserve ; thence by the said Canal Reserve to the starting-point.

This is to certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Board at its meeting of 19th December, 1911.

Resolution made by the Pukekohe East Road Board.

THE following resolution, made by the Pukekohe East Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

TUAKAU SPECIAL-RATING AREA LOAN, £1,500.

Resolution made by the Pukekohe East Road Board.

RESOLUTION in conformity with section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, making and levying special rate :—

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Pukekohe East Road Board hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorized to be raised by the Pukekohe East Road Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for purchasing part of private land, and fencing and forming and metalling same, to make a road from Whangarata to Tuakau, the said Pukekohe East Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound on the rateable value of all the rateable property in the Tuakau Special-rating Area, in the Pukekohe East Road District, comprised within the following boundaries—all that part of the Pukekohe East Road District which is bounded towards the east by the eastern boundary of the said road district, towards the south by the Waikato River, towards the west by the western boundary of the said road district, and towards the north by a line commencing at the point where the northern boundary of Section 35 of the Parish of Pukekohe intersects the western boundary of the said district, and thence proceeding in a straight line in an easterly direction along the northern boundary of said Section 35 to the corner of the road which is diagonally opposite the Harrisville School, thence proceeding in a northerly direction through parts of said Section 36 along the common boundaries of the farms of Joseph Glasgow and Walter Barnaby, thence in an easterly direction through said Section 36 along the northern boundary of Walter Barnaby’s farm to the Harrisville Road, thence along the Harrisville Road to the northern boundary of William Reid Clark’s farm, thence along the northern boundary of William Reid Clark’s farm to the boundary of Section 23 of the Parish of Pukekohe, and thence in a north-easterly direction along the boundary of said section to the eastern boundary of the said road district, being parts of Onewhero, Tuakau, and Pukekohe Parishes, forming portions of Block IV, Onewhero Survey District ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of August and the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off, the rate of interest for such loan to be 3½ per cent. per annum.

The above resolution was duly proposed and seconded and agreed to at a duly constituted meeting of the Pukekohe East Road Board held on the 11th day of November, 1911, and in accordance with section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910.

Resolution made by the Council of the County of Stratford.

THE following resolution, made by the Stratford County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

STRATFORD COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making a Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Stratford County Council hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,250, authorized to be raised by the Stratford County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of defraying the cost of draining a portion of the Makuri Valley, the said Stratford County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1¾d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Makuri Valley Drainage Special-rating District, comprising part Subdivision 1 (287 acres), Subdivision 7 (215½ acres), part Subdivisions 2 and 3 (325 acres), part Subdivision 4 (100 acres), part Allotment 2 of Subdivision 9 (225 acres), part Allotment 5 of Subdivision 9 (263 acres), part Subdivision 10 (260 acres), part Allotment 2 of Subdivision 11 (250 acres), Huiakama Block, Blocks XIII and XIV, Ngatimaru Survey District, and parts Toko B Block, 325 acres (F. Bayly) and 250 acres (F. W. R. Bredow), Block I, Omona Survey District ; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Stratford County Council held on the 20th day of December, 1911.
