Special Orders made by the Johnsonville Town Board.

Wellington, 21st November, 1911.

THE following special orders, made by the Johnson-
vile Town Board, are published in accordance with
the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908.

JOHNSONVILLE TOWN BOARD.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and its
amendments, the Johnsonville Town Board hereby resolves
as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the
interest and other charges on a loan of £800, authorized to
be raised by the Johnsonville Town Board, under the
above-mentioned Acts, for the following purpose, viz.,—
The purchase or acquisition of land and the
erection thereon of Board offices
£800

the said Johnsonville Town Board hereby makes and
levies a special rate of 1/16 of a penny in the pound
upon the rateable value of the whole of the rateable pro-
perty of the Johnsonville Town District (exclusive of that
portion known as Newlands), the same being a special-
rating area for the purpose of the above loan; and that
such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on
the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan
is fully paid off.

Passed at a special meeting of the Board on the 26th
day of September, 1911, and confirmed this 14th day of
November, 1911.

JOHNSONVILLE TOWN BOARD.

to be raised by the Johnsonville Town Board, under the
above-mentioned Acts, for the following purpose, viz.,—
The purchase of a petrol-gas plant for the
lighting of the town, together with the
materials and fittings, and land re-
quired in connection therewith

the said Johnsonville Town Board hereby makes and
levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound upon the rateable
value of the whole of the rateable property of the John-
sonville Town District (exclusive of that portion known
as Newlands), the same being a special-rating area for
the purpose of the above loan; and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of
February and the 1st day of August in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully
paid off.

Resolution made by the Council of the Borough of Maori Hill.

THE following resolution, made by the Maori Hill
Borough Council, is published in accordance with
the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908.

MAORI HILL BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate.

Copy of resolution passed by the Maori Hill Borough
Council at a meeting thereof held on the 9th day of
November, 1911 :

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and
its amendments, the Maori Hill Borough Council hereby
resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing
the interest at the rate of 3½ per centum per annum on
a loan of £250, authorized to be raised by the Maori Hill
Borough Council for improvements to the streets in South
Ward of the Borough of Maori Hill, being 10 per centum
additional on special loan of £2,500, as that amount is
insufficient to complete the work for which the said special
loan was authorized, the said Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of 1/32 of a penny in the pound
upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable pro-
perty in the said ward, being all that area in the Otago
Land District comprising Sections 8 to 14 (inclusive),
Block I, and Sections 2 to 13 (inclusive), Block II, Upper
Kaikorai Survey District, and the portion of Section 1,
Block III, of the said survey district within the bound-
aries of the said borough; and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of
April and the 1st day of October in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-
one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a
resolution passed at a duly constituted meeting of the
Maori Hill Borough Council held on the 9th day of
November, 1911.

Resolution made by the Council of the Borough of Mosgiel.

THE following resolution, made by the Mosgiel
Borough Council, is published in accordance with
the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and
its amendment.

MOSGIEL BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and the
Acts amending the same, the Mosgiel Borough Council
hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of
providing interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000,
authorized to be raised by the said Mosgiel Borough
Council, under the above-mentioned Act and the amend-
ments thereof, for the purpose of building a town hall
and public offices, library and reading-room, and pro-
viding a site and furniture for the same, the said Mosgiel
Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate
of 3½d. in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable
property in the Borough of Mosgiel, on the basis of the
annual value; and that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of May and
the 1st day of November in each and every year during
the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the
Mosgiel Borough Council on the 6th day of November,
1911.
