Approval of Fees for Licensing of Vehicles fixed by By-law.—Wallace County Council.

IT is hereby notified, in accordance with section 107 of the Counties Act, 1908, that so much of the by-law made by the Wallace County Council, and sealed on the 15th day of September, 1911, as appoints the several sums to be paid to the Wallace County Funds for the licensing of vehicles, has this day been approved by His Excellency the Governor.

Special Orders made by the Council of the County of Masterton.

THE following special orders, made by the Masterton County Council, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908.

MASTERON COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order striking a Special Rate for Repayment of a Loan.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Masterton County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £100, authorized to be raised by the Masterton County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for formation and metalling on the Maweka Road. the said Masterton County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 9/30 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Maweka Road Formation and Metalling Loan Special-rating District contained within the following boundaries, that is to say : Commencing at a point on the southern side of the Akura Road situate westward of and 1170 links distant from its intersection with the Ngamutaua Road, and proceeding in a south-westerly direction, bounded by a straight line bearing 214 deg. 40 min., to the Makakaweka Stream; thence proceeding eastwards by the said stream to the Ngamutaua Road; thence proceeding nearly due west by a right-of-way 25 links wide to the half-chain road through the Ngamataua Block; thence proceeding northwards by the said half-chain road, and by lines so as to include within the area that portion of the Ngamataua Block containing 23 acres 3 roods at present owned and occupied by Mr. F. H. Scharnweber, to the Makakaweka Stream; thence proceeding in an easterly direction by the said stream for a distance of approximately 280 links to a point opposite a line bearing 19 deg. 32 min., which forms the western boundary of that portion of Akura No. 2 Block, containing 23 acres and 20 perches, at present owned and occupied by Martin Kerins; thence by the last mentioned line, and proceeding eastwards by part of the northern boundary of the said Akura No. 2 Block and by part of the north-western boundary of the Bishop’s Reserve, all in Block IV, Tiffin Survey District, to the Akura Road, and proceeding eastwards by the said Akura Road to the point of commencement. Such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan. and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and

the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Passed at a special meeting of the Council this 10th day of October, 1911. Confirmed this 14th day of November, 1911.

MASTERTON COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order striking a Special Rate for Repayment of a Loan.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Masterton County Council hereby resolves as follows :

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200, authorized to be raised by the Masterton County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for metalling Coote’s Road, the said Masterton County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Coote's Road Metalling Loan Special rating District, comprising Subdivisions 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 of the Matahiwi Estate, in Blocks XI, XII, and XVI, Mikimiki Survey District. Such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Passed at a special meeting of the Council this 10th day of October, 1911. Confirmed this 14th day of November, 1911.

MASTERTON COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order striking a Special Rate for Repayment of a Loan.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Masterton County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £350, authorized to be raised by the Masterton County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of rebuilding the bridge over the Te Hoe Stream on the Alfredton-Weber Road, the said Masterton County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/115 of a penny in the pound on the rateable value for the time being of all rateable property within the present Riding of Alfredton. Such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Passed at a special meeting of the Council this 10th day of October, 1911. Confirmed this 14th day of November, 1911.
