ELTHAM COUNTY COUNCIL.

Kaponga Town District Loan (£2,000).

Resolution making special rate for repayment of loan, under section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Eltham County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Eltham County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of grading, forming, widening, and extending metal on those portions of the Eltham and Manai a Roads within the Kaponga Town District, in the County of Eltham, the said Eltham County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅝d. in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all the rateable property in the said Kaponga Town District as appearing on the valuation roll; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off, and subject in all respects to the provisions relating to a special rate raised as security for a loan under the said Act. The interest to be paid on such loan is £3 10s. per centum per annum, with the addition of a sinking fund of £1 7s. 6d. per centum per annum, the whole loan to be raised under Part IV of the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, and to be repayable by seventy-three half-yearly payments of £2 8s. 9d. for every £100 of such loan. It is proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking fund thereon for the first year.

Certificate.

The foregoing resolution was duly proposed, seconded, and carried at a special meeting of the Eltham County Council held on the 14th day of January, 1911.

Resolution making special rate for repayment of loan, under section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Eltham County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £20,000, authorized to be raised by the Eltham County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of grading, forming, widening, extending metal, and constructing culverts on the following roads in the Kaponga Riding (outlying) of the County of Eltham, namely:—

  1. Stratford–Opunake Road, from Auroa Road to end of present metal (240 chains, more or less) … … … … £ 3,142

the said Eltham County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1⅛d. in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all the rateable property in the Kaponga Riding (outlying) of the County of Eltham as appearing on the valuation roll; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off, and subject in all respects to the provisions relating to a special rate raised as security for a loan under the said Act. The interest to be paid on such loan is £3 10s. per centum per annum, with the addition of a sinking fund of £1 7s. 6d. per centum per annum, the whole loan to be raised under Part IV of the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, and to be repayable by seventy-three half-yearly payments of £2 8s. 9d. for every £100 of such loan. The loan is for four successive years’ expenditure, and it is proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking fund thereon for the first year.

ELTHAM COUNTY COUNCIL.

Omona Special Area No. 2 Loan (£3,000).

Resolution making special rate for repayment of loan, under section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Eltham County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorized to be raised by the Eltham County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming and metalling that portion of the Rawhitiroa Road in the Omona Riding of the County of Eltham from end of present metal at Matemateaonga eastward for a distance of four miles and a half, more or less, the said Eltham County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 15/16 of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all the rateable property within that portion of the Omona Riding of the County of Eltham for the time being appearing on the valuation roll, which is bounded on or towards the north, east, and south generally by the Omona Riding boundaries, and on or towards the west generally by the Rawhitiroa Road Special Rating Area No. 1 (as more fully described in special order published in the New Zealand Gazette of 26th March, 1908, pages 1013, 1014), and including Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, and 19, Block VII; Section 1, Block VIII; Sections 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 11, Block X; Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 25, Block XI; Sections 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, and 8, Block XII; Sections 1 and 3, Block XIV; Sections 1 and 3, Block XV; Section 2, Block XVI; all situate in the Omona Survey District; eastern half part Subdivision 1 and part Allotment 2 of Subdivision 3, Matemateaonga, Blocks VI and X, Survey District aforesaid (771 acres 2 roods 30 perches); parts Subdivision 7, Matemateaonga, Block V, Survey District aforesaid (62 acres); No. 1, part Tutae-ariari, Block IX, Survey District aforesaid (6 acres); eastern half Matemateaonga, part Subdivisions 2 and 3, Block X aforesaid (905 acres 2 roods 29 perches): and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off, and subject in all respects to the provisions relating to a special rate raised as security for a loan under the said Act.
