of the Dominion of New Zealand, and in accordance with
Order in Council published in the New Zealand Gazette of
date the 16th day of March, 1911; the said bridge to be
constructed by the Wanganui Borough Council in conjunction with the Wanganui East Borough Council, and to be
so constructed as to allow of vehicular, tramway, pedestrian, and sheep and cattle traffic, and the superstructure
of the said bridge to be built in steel, and the work to be
undertaken by and to be under the control and management of the Wanganui Borough Council—the Wanganui
East Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of 8d. in the pound upon the annual value of all
rateable property within the Borough of Wanganui East;
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable
half-yearly on the 30th day of June and the 30th day of
December in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half,
or until the loan is fully paid off.
The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Wanganui East was hereto affixed to the above-written resolution by order of the
Council of such borough this 7th day of August, 1911, by

Borough of Dargaville, is published in accordance
with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers
of the Borough of Dargaville was taken on the 9th day of
October, 1911, on the proposal of the Dargaville Borough
Council to borrow the sum of £20,000 for street formation and improvement, and protection of foreshore (inclusive of engineering expenses).
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 180.
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 35.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers
of the Helensville Town District was taken on the 21st
day of September, 1911, on the proposal of the Helensville
Town Board to borrow the sum of £10,000 for water and
drainage purposes.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 64.
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 30.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

PALMERSTON NORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Proposal to raise Three Special Loans under the Local
Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.
We hereby give notice that on the 20th day of October,
1911, proposals were submitted by the Palmerston North
Borough Council to a poll of ratepayers of the Palmerston
North Borough for raising special loans of £12,200, £5,255,
and £4,940 respectively, particulars of which proposals
have been duly advertised in a newspaper circulating in
the said borough, and that the votes recorded respectively
for and against the said proposals were as follows:
Public Works Loan of £12,200 : For, 288; against, 299.
Public Library Loan of £5,255 : For, 194; against, 396.
Swimming-baths Loan of £4,940 : For, 171; against, 411.
As in respect of all the above proposals the number of
votes recorded against exceeded the number of votes recorded in favour of the same, we hereby declare the said
proposals not carried.

LEAMINGTON TOWN DISTRICT.
Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1908, and its amendments, I hereby give notice that at a
poll of the ratepayers of the Town District of Leamington
taken on the 18th day of October, 1911, on the proposal to
borrow £600 for the purpose of acquiring Sections 255 and
256, and erecting a town hall and municipal buildings
thereon, the number of votes recorded for the proposal
was 69, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 17.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
