1911, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor in terms of section 119 of the Public Works Act, 1908, the said Pelorus Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/7 of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the Pelorus Road District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Pelorus Road Board held on the 16th September, 1911.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Resolution making Special Rate.—Loan of £350.—Rakautawa Road.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £350, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling the Rakautawa Road from the Wangaehu Railway-station to a point 10 chains south of the bridge over the Mangawhero Creek, and forming Glasgow’s Road from the Rakautawa Road to the boundary of the Waipu Block, and the cost of raising the loan to be paid out of the loan, but not the interest and repayment for the first year, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅛d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Rakautawa Special-rating District, comprising the following subdivisions of the Rakautawa Block—1A No. 1 (358 acres and 23 perches), 1A No. 2 (445 acres), 1B No. 1 (140 acres), 1B No. 2 (140 acres), No. 2B (50 acres), No. 2C (100 acres), No. 2A (130 acres), No. 4A (30 acres), No. 4B (80 acres), 4C No. 1 (51 acres and 18 perches), 4C No. 2 (16 acres 2 roods 8 perches), 4C No. 3 (102 acres 2 roods 28 perches), 4C No. 4 (82 acres and 34 perches), 4C No. 5 (51 acres 1 rood 11 perches), 4C No. 6 (40¾ acres), 4C No. 7 (33 acres 3 roods 24 perches), 4C No. 8 (41 acres and 29 perches), 4C No. 9 (132 acres 3 roods 35 perches), No. 5 (100 acres), No. 6 (80 acres), No. 7 (450 acres), No. 8 (20 acres), and No. 9 (350 acres); also the following subdivisions of the Waipu Block—4A No. 1A (59 acres), 4A No. 1B (119 acres), 4A No. 1C (29½ acres), 4A No. 1D (29½ acres), 4A No. 4 (48 acres), 4A No. 5A (700 acres), 4A No. 5B (569 acres), 4A No. 5C (100 acres), No. 5A (33 acres and 30 perches), and No. 5B (251 acres 3 roods 10 perches); the whole being situate in Blocks XIII and XIV, Ikitara Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off, the interest and repayment on such loan being together at the rate of £4 17s. 6d. per centum per annum.
I, Robert Kirkpatrick Simpson, Chairman of the Rangitikei County Council, do hereby certify that the above resolution was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 30th day of September, 1911.

THE following resolution, made by the Waipawa Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

WAIPAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Waipawa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £3,900, authorized to be raised by the Waipawa Borough Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for the re-erection of Ruataniwha Road Bridge, concrete kerbing and channelling, tarring roadways and footpaths, making block cutting at junction of Waverley and Church Streets, and sundry street-improvements, the said Waipawa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 7/16 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Waipawa; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off, the interest and repayment together being at the rate of £4 17s. 6d. per centum per annum.

WANGANUI EAST BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Resolution making and levying a Special Rate.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Wanganui East Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the loan of £11,500, and the interest thereon, by the periodical payments as required by the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, and other charges and expenses incident to the said loan or connected therewith, which loan was authorized to be raised by the Wanganui East Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the following purposes—the erection, construction, and completion of a traffic-bridge across the Wanganui River, connecting the Borough of Wanganui East with the Borough of Wanganui, from a point on the left bank of the Wanganui River abutting on Lot 3 or Lot 5 of Section 63 on the plan of the left bank of the Wanganui River, in the Borough of Wanganui East, to a point in the Wanganui Borough at the junction or intersection of Dublin Street and the River Bank Road, and the necessary approaches thereto, according to a design, plans and specifications, and conditions prepared by the Public Works Department
