Resolution made by the Council of the County of Rangitikei.

THE following resolution, made by the Rangitikei County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate.—Loan of £430.—Brandon Hall Road.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £430, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the metalling of the Brandon Hall Road, and that the cost of raising the loan be paid out of the loan. the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Brandon Hall No. 3 Special-rating District, comprising part of Section 2 (120 acres, owned by Mr. J. G. Collins), Section 5 and part Section 5A (together 310 acres 2 roods 11 perches, owned by Mrs. Jane Thorby), part of Section 6 (376 acres 3 roods 10 perches, occupied by Walter Oldfield), and Sections 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 of Brandon Hall Estate, as shown on the plans numbered 1754 and 1755 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar, at Wellington, the said lands being situate in Blocks IV and V, Koitiata Survey District, and Blocks V, IX, and X, Rangitoto Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off, the interest and repayment together being at the rate of £4 17s. 6d. per centum per annum.

I. Robert Kirkpatrick Simpson, Chairman of the Rangitikei County Council, do hereby certify that the above resolution was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 30th day of September, 1911.

In testimony whereof the common seal of the Rangitikei County Council has been hereunto affixed.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Borough of Waipawa, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

WAIPAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Waipawa taken on the 7th day of October, 1911, on the proposal of the Waipawa Borough Council to borrow the sum of £3,900 for concrete kerbing and channelling, tarring footpaths and roadways, re-erection of Ruataniwha Road Bridge, making block cutting at junction of Church and Waverley Streets, and sundry street-improvements, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 88; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 57; informal, 2.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Frankton Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

FRANKTON TOWN DISTRICT.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Town District of Frankton was taken on the 9th day of October, 1911, on the proposal of the Frankton Town District to borrow the sum of £7,500 for the acquiring, constructing, and establishing works for the supply of electricity to the inhabitants of and otherwise within the Frankton Town District, and for lighting the streets and roads within the said district.

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 53. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 8. Informal, 1.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Borough of St. Kilda, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

BOROUGH OF ST. KILDA.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Acts amending the same respectively.

I, THE undersigned, Hugh McMillan Ewing, Mayor of the Borough of St. Kilda, hereby give notice that on the 12th day of October, 1911, a proposal was submitted by the St. Kilda Borough Council to the ratepayers of the Borough of St. Kilda for raising a special loan of £1,500 for the following particular purpose—that is to say, to erect a town hall, with fitting furniture for the same, for holding public meetings and other purposes; and that for the purpose of securing the repayment of the said special loan, and of all interest which may from time to time become payable thereunder, the said Council proposes to appropriate and pledge the property of the Borough of St. Kilda, and any revenues of the said borough from any source other than moneys received by way of grant from the Government of New Zealand, and any funds and moneys of the said borough, subject to a special loan of £2,000, bearing interest at £4 10s. per centum per annum (secured on the general rates of the borough), and also to a special loan of £7,000, bearing interest at £4 per centum per annum (secured on the whole of a special rate of 6d. in the pound sterling on the rateable value of all property in the said borough, and on the general indebtedness of the said borough), and also to a loan of £5,000, bearing interest at £4 per centum per annum (secured on the whole of the waterworks constructed, being a first charge thereon, and also such water-supply rates as the Council is empowered to make and levy by virtue of all powers the said Council thereunto enabling), and also to a loan of £7,000, bearing interest at £4 10s. per centum per annum (secured on the property of the Borough of St. Kilda, and any revenues of the said borough from any source other than moneys received by way of grant from the Government of New Zealand, and any funds and moneys of the said borough), and also to a loan of £9,000, bearing interest at £4 10s. per centum per annum (secured on the property of the said Borough of St. Kilda, and any revenue of the said borough from any source other than moneys received by way of grant from the Government of New Zealand, and any funds and moneys of the said borough). That the said Council proposes to provide for the creation of a sinking fund by the permanent appropriation of such a sum as shall be equal to 1 per centum of the said loan, and by the permanent pledge of any part of the local fund not prohibited by any provision under the Local Bodies’ Loans
