WAIA PU COUNTY COUNCIL.

Extract from Minutes of Proceedings of the Waia pu County Council at an Ordinary Meeting of such Council held on the 27th Day of September, 1911, at 3 p.m.

MOVED by the Chairman, That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, and the Waia pu County Council (Tokomaru Harbour) Empowering Act, 1910, the Waia pu County Council hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £20,000, authorized to be raised by the Waia pu County Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of—

(a.) The purchase from the Tokomaru Sheep-farmers’ Freezing Company (Limited) and from the Tokomaru Farmers’ Co-operative Company hereunder the present wharves and reclamations constructed by the said respective companies at Tokomaru Bay ;

(b.) On the purchase of land in connection therewith ;

(c.) The erection of new buildings, and reclamation and purchase of plant for harbour purposes,—

the said Waia pu County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound upon the annual rateable value of all rateable property within the Tokomaru Riding, the Waipiro Riding, and the Piritarau Riding of the County of Waia pu ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.—Seconded by Councillor E. R. Murphy, and carried.

THE following resolution, made by the Rangitata Island River Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

RANGITATA ISLAND RIVER BOARD.

Resolution making Special Rate.—Copy of Resolution passed by the Rangitata Island River Board at a Meeting held on the 7th Day of October, 1911.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, the Rangitata Island River Board hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised by the Rangitata Island River Board, under the above-mentioned Act and its amendments, for the purpose of erecting protective works for the benefit of that part of the north subdivision of the Rangitata Island River District lying to the south-east of the north-western boundary of Rural Section 25953, the said Rangitata Island River Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 11/10 of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property of the special-rating area, comprising that part of the said north subdivision of the Rangitata Island River District, commencing at the south-western corner of Rural Section 25953, bounded towards the north-west by the north-western boundary of Rural Section 25953, towards the north-east by a line along the middle of the main channel of the Rangitata River from the railway-line to a point opposite the mouth of the north branch of the Rangitata Creek, thence towards the south-west generally by a line to and along the middle of the said north branch of the Rangitata Creek to the Rangitata Island main road south of Rural Section 25643, and thence by the said main road running north-westerly to the south-western corner of Rural Section 25953 aforesaid, comprising part Rural Section 23153, Rural Sections 23160, 25643, 34818, 34352, 34353, 32085, 26010, 20698, 20703, 22919, 22925, 23354, 23691, 24675, 25196, 25197, 25198, 28640, 28510, part Rural Section 22195, Rural Sections 34762 and 34763, Reserves 2883 and 2884, Rural Sections 24007, 24008, 26193, and 26338, and part of Rural Sections 26012 and 21577, Rural Sections 25953, 25195, 22991, part Rural Section 22195, part Reserve 2746, Rural Sections 25581, 23181, 23182, 23307, Reserve 2748, Rural Sections 23787, 25644, 26044, 26337, 23154, Reserve 2751, and part Rural Section 21577, situated in Blocks II and III,

Kapunatiki Survey District : and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution duly passed by the Rangitata Island River Board at a meeting held on the 7th day of October, 1911.

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Resolution.—Kaitara Special-rating District.

PROPOSED by Councillor Kernohan, seconded by Councillor J. R. McInnes, That, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof, and of all other powers thereto enabling, the Whangarei County Council hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the interest and principal and other charges upon a special loan of £1,500, authorized to be raised by the Whangarei County Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of metalling the main roads within the special-rating area known as the Kaitara Special-rating District, as defined in notices published in the daily issue of the Northern Mail newspapers of the 1st and 2nd days of September, 1911, such special-rating area forming part of the Maunu Riding, County of Whangarei, the said Whangarei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1¼d. in the pound upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property of and within the said special-rating district as defined ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency time, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing special resolution was adopted at a properly constituted meeting of the Whangarei County Council held this 11th day of October, 1911.

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Resolution.—Whauwhau Special-rating District.

PROPOSED by Councillor Kernohan, seconded by Councillor J. R. McInnes, That, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof, and of all other powers thereto enabling, the Whangarei County Council hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the interest and principal and other charges upon a special loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised by the Whangarei County Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of forming, metalling, and culverting the main roads within the special-rating area known as the Whauwhau Special-rating District, as defined in notices published in the daily issue of the Northern Advocate newspaper of the 22nd, 23rd, and 25th September, 1911, such special-rating area forming part of the Maunu Riding, County of Whangarei, the said Whangarei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¾d. in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property of and within the said special-rating district as defined ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency time, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing special resolution was adopted at a properly constituted meeting of the Whangarei County Council held this 11th day of October, 1911.
