permit (a) the laying-off of a street of a width less than sixty-six feet, but not less than fifty feet, within the area firstly described in the Schedule hereto, and (b) the laying-off of a street of a width less than sixty-six feet but not less than forty feet within the area secondly described in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

FIRSTLY, all that area situated in the Borough of Lyttelton, and being part of Reserve No. 68, bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner of Subdivision 14 of Reserve No. 68, and proceeding thence in an easterly direction along the southern boundary of the said Subdivision 14 and that boundary produced to a point due south of the centre of the southern boundary of Subdivision 13 of the said reserve, and proceeding thence in a northerly direction by a right line to the said centre of the southern boundary of Subdivision 13; thence in a north-westerly direction by a right line through Subdivisions 13 and 12 to the centre of the northern boundary of the said Subdivision 12; thence by a right line through Subdivision 11 to the centre of the north-western boundary of the said Subdivision 11; thence by a right line across Watson’s Lane and through Subdivision 10 to the centre of the north-western boundary of the said Subdivision 10; thence by right lines through Subdivision 9 to the centre of the northern boundary of the said Subdivision 9; thence in a northerly direction by a right line to the southernmost corner of the Cemetery Reserve No. 46; thence in a north-westerly direction along the south-western boundary of the said Reserve No. 46, and that boundary produced to a point in a line with the north-western boundary of Subdivision 8 of Reserve No. 68; thence in a south-westerly direction by a right line to the north-western corner of the said Subdivision 8; thence by the north-western boundaries of subdivisions of 8 and 7; thence in a south-easterly direction by the south-western boundaries of Subdivisions 7, 6, 5, 4, and 3 of Reserve No. 68 to the southernmost corner of Subdivision 3; thence by a right line across Watson’s Lane to the westernmost corner of Subdivision 2; thence by the south-western boundary of the said Subdivision 2 to its southernmost corner; thence in a southerly direction along the western boundary of Subdivision 1 to its south-western corner; thence by a right line to the place of commencement.

Secondly, all that area situated in the Borough of Lyttelton, and being portion of Reserve No. 68, bounded towards the west generally by the eastern boundary of the area herein firstly described from the most southerly corner of the Cemetery Reserve No. 46 to the south-eastern corner of the area herein firstly described; towards the south for a distance of 3 chains by a line due east from the south-eastern corner of the area herein firstly described; towards the east generally by a line, distance 3 chains, and parallel to the eastern boundary of the area herein firstly described; and towards the north by a line due east from the southernmost corner of the Cemetery Reserve No. 46.

All in the Canterbury Land District; as the said areas are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 29765, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon bordered blue and yellow respectively.

Extension of Time for Preparation of County Rolls, &c.,
County of Ellesmere.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighteenth day of October, 1911.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that the preparation of the rolls for the County of Ellesmere, and the taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and taken within the times mentioned in the Counties Act, 1908, and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by the said Counties Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the several dates mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be the respective dates for taking the several steps set out in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

1. For preparing the defaulters list and the rolls for ridings within the County of Ellesmere: Until the 30th day of September, 1911.

2. Time for which such list and rolls shall be open for inspection: From the 30th day of September, 1911, to the 14th day of October, 1911.

3. Time for appeals against the said rolls: Until the 24th day of October, 1911.

4. Revision Courts may sit for hearing applications with reference to the said rolls, and adjourn: Until the 30th day of October, 1911.

5. Time when the said rolls, having been duly corrected and signed, shall come into force: On the 4th day of November, 1911.
