Special Order made by the Waipukurau Town Board.

THE following special order, made by the Waipukurau Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908.

WAIPUKURAU TOWN BOARD.
Special Order.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, the Waipukurau Town Board hereby resolves : That, for the purpose of completing the water-supply scheme, the Waipukurau Town Board hereby authorizes the raising of a special loan of £929, such amount being one-tenth of the loan known as the Water-supply Loan of £9,290, raised by the Waipukurau Town Board, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908; and that such special loan shall be for a period of thirty-six years and a half, and that the rate of interest be 3½ per cent. per annum, and that there be paid a half-yearly instalment of £2 8s. 9d. for each £100 of the loan in respect of principal and interest until the loan is fully paid off. And for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges in connection with the said loan the said Waipukurau Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5/51 of a penny in the pound on all rateable property of the Waipukurau Town District, comprising all that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, in Blocks XIV and XV, Waipukurau Survey District, as shown upon the plan deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, under No. S.G. 54516, and thereon bordered red; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of April and the 31st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing special order was made at a special meeting of the Waipukurau Town Board held on the 4th day of September, 1911, and was duly confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the said Town Board held on the 2nd day of October, 1911.

THE following resolution, made by the Gonville Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

GONVILLE TOWN BOARD.
Resolution making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, the Gonville Town Board hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised by the Gonville Town Board, under the abovementioned Act, to be called the “Gonville Town Board General Improvements Additional Loan of £1,000,” for completing certain works in respect of which the Board has already raised a loan of £10,000, known as the “General Improvement Loan,” and in particular for completing the following undertakings comprised therein :-
(a.) For providing extensions of the existing drainage system for the Gonville Town District by laying drainage-pipes in the streets and roads in the said town district, and the provision of all appliances, plant, and things necessary or convenient for the efficient working and use of the said drainage system or incidental thereto, and to provide one-half of the cost of constructing the main drain on the road adjoining the Borough of Wanganui, the sum of £500 :
(b.) For providing extensions of the existing water-supply for the Gonville Town District by the laying of water-mains in the streets and roads in the said town district, and the provision of all appliances, plant, and things necessary or convenient for the efficient working and use of the said supply or incidental thereto, the sum of £100 :
(c.) For acquiring freehold land for the purposes of constructing new streets in the Gonville Town District, and for the purposes of recreation, the sum of £120 :
(d.) For acquiring freehold land for the purposes of erecting swimming-baths in the Gonville Town District, and for the erection of such baths, the sum of £60 :
(e.) For acquiring freehold land for the purposes of erecting a public hall and a fire-brigade station in the Gonville Town District, and for the erection of such public hall and fire-brigade station, the sum of £70 :
(f.) For forming new streets in the Gonville Town District, and general improvements to the existing roads and streets in such town district, the sum of £150—
the Gonville Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/16 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Gonville Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off, such special rate to be in addition to the special rate of 5d. in the pound levied in respect of the said original special loan of £10,000.
I certify that the foregoing resolution is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Gonville Town Board on the 30th day of August, 1911.

THE following resolution, made by the Hutt County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL.
Resolution making Special Rate in No. 7 Special-rating District.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £300, authorized to be raised by the Hutt County Council, under the abovementioned Act, for the purpose of continuing the construction of the Wainuio-mata Lower Valley Road (Orongorongo) to the sea, the said Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 13/256 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the No. 7 Special-rating District as hereinafter described—that is to say, commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 4, Block XV, Belmont Survey District ; thence south-easterly and easterly along the northern boundaries of said Section 4 and Section 5 to the north-eastern corner of said Section, Block VIII, Rimutaka Survey District ; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of said Section 5 and south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 73, 38, and 94 to the north-eastern corner of said Section 94, Block VIII, Rimutaka Survey District ; thence generally southerly along the eastern boundaries of said Sections 94, 74, 95, 96, 97, 84, and 83, Block V, Pencarrow
