Notice respecting Proposed Alteration in Boundaries of Borough of Green Island.
Office of the Minister of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 5th October, 1911.
PURSUANT to section 118 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor directs it to be notified that a petition, in accordance with regulations, signed by not less than one-fourth of the electors of the area described in the Schedule hereto, has been presented to him, praying that the said area may be included in the Borough of Green Island. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to, or petitions against, the proposed alteration within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE BOROUGH OF GREEN ISLAND.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, being parts of Sections Nos. 85, 86, 87, 98, 99, and 103, together with portion of Brighton Road, situated in Lower Kaikorai Survey District. Bounded towards the north by the Walton Park Branch Railway Reserve and the crossing of Brighton Road to the Borough of Green Island; towards the east by the said borough; towards the south by the crossing of Brighton Road aforesaid and other parts of Sections Nos. 86 and 87; and towards the west by other parts of Sections Nos. 87, 103, 99, and 98 to the railway reserve aforesaid: as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 21A, deposited at the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

PURSUANT to section 117 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor directs it to be notified that a petition has been presented to him praying for the constitution of the area described in the Schedule hereto as a borough under the said Act, to be named the Borough of Anderson’s Bay. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the constitution of the said borough which they may desire to lodge, within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARIES OF PROPOSED BOROUGH OF ANDERSON’S BAY.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District situated in Town, Anderson’s Bay, and Otago Peninsula Survey Districts, bounded towards the north-west generally by the northern side of Beach Road to Portobello from its junction with Anderson’s Bay Road to Otago Harbour, by that harbour, by the foreshore of Anderson’s Bay, and again by Otago Harbour to a point in line with the southern side of the district road forming the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 7, Block IV, Anderson’s Bay Survey District: thence towards the north-east by that road to the middle of Portobello Road: thence towards the east generally by a line along the middle of the said Portobello Road to Original Section No. 2, Block VII, Anderson’s Bay Survey District; by the north-eastern boundary-lines of Original Sections Nos. 2 and 3, Block VII aforesaid, to the easternmost corner of the last-mentioned section; by Original Sections Nos. 4, 5, and 6, Block VII aforesaid, to the Tomahawk Lagoon, and by that lagoon to the Tomahawk District Road: thence towards the south generally by the northern side of last-mentioned road and the Tahuna Road to the district road known as Brook’s Road which intersects Original Section No. 8, Block VII, Otago Peninsula Survey District; by the eastern side of the said Brooks Road to the north-eastern boundary of the Tomahawk Road District as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 55, of the 19th September, 1889; by the said Tomahawk Road District to the south-western side of the said Brooks Road; by the said south-western side of that road and its production across Fergusson Street in the Township of Tainui; by the north-eastern side of the said Fergusson Street to Willow Street; by the northern side of the said Willow Street to Beach Road; by the northern side of the said Beach Road to the north-western side of closed road No. 184R, Block VII, Town Survey District; across Beach Road and by the south-eastern boundaries of Original Sections Nos. 73, 72, and 71, Block VII, Town Survey District, to the boundary of the Borough of St. Kilda as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 50, of the 27th August, 1885; by the said Borough of St. Kilda to the Ocean Beach Railway; by the said Ocean Beach Railway across Anderson’s Bay Road; and by the northern side of the said Anderson’s Bay Road to Beach Road to Portobello, the place of commencement.

THE following special order, made by the Kiwitea County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1908.

KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Boundaries of Ridings.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Counties Act, 1908, and amendments, the Kiwitea County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of complying with section 25 of the Counties Act, 1908, the Kiwitea County Council hereby dissolves the nine ridings of which the county consists, and defines the boundaries of nine new ridings as under:—
Cheltenham Riding.
Bounded on the south by the southern boundary of the county, commencing at the centre of the Oroua River; thence by the Cheltenham Cross Road to its junction with Benson’s Road at the north-western corner of Section 313A; thence by the centre of Benson’s Road to its junction with Sinclair’s Line; thence by the western boundary of Sections 166, 168, 170, 172, 174, 176, Block III, Oroua Survey District; thence by the northern boundaries of Sections 176 and 175, Blocks III and IV, Oroua Survey District; thence by the western boundary of Section 199, Block IV, Oroua Survey District; thence by the southern boundaries of Sections 199, 200, 201, 202, Block IV, Oroua Survey District; thence by the eastern boundary of Section 202, Block IV, Oroua Survey District, to the south-western corner of Section 228, Block VIII, Oroua Survey District; thence by the southern boundary of said Section 228 to the centre of Kimbolton Road; thence by the centre of Kimbolton Road to the centre of Coulter’s Line; thence by the centre of Coulter’s Line to the centre of Oroua River; thence by the centre of the said river to the starting-point.
Ongo Riding.
Commencing at the south-western boundary of the county at centre of Benson’s Road; thence by the Cheltenham Cross Road to Wilson’s Road; thence by south-western boundaries of Sections 302, 301, Block II, Oroua Survey District, 284, Block XIV, Ongo Survey District, by the southern boundaries of Sections 14, 13, 12, 11, Block XIV, Ongo Survey District, to the centre of the Rangitikei River; thence by the centre of the said river to the Rangitikei Valley Road at the north-western corner of Section 22, Block XIV, Ongo Survey District; thence by the boundary between Blocks XI and XIV, Ongo Survey District, to the centre of the Parorangi Road; thence by the centre of the Parorangi Road to its junction with Northern Line; thence by the northern boundary of Section 4, Block XI, Ongo Survey District, and the eastern boundaries of Sections 4 and 3, Block XI, Ongo Survey District, to the boundary between Blocks XI and XV, Ongo Survey District; thence by the northern boundary of Section 26, Block XV, Ongo Survey District; thence by eastern boundaries of Sections 26 and 25, Block XV, Ongo Survey District; thence to north-eastern corner of Section 300, Block XV, Ongo Survey District; thence by the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 300, Block XV, Ongo Survey District, 317, and 315, Block III, Oroua
