of such reserve or any part thereof from the purpose or
presumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other
purpose, or if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be
expedient to exchange any of the land comprised in such
reserve for other land of equal value, to be dedicated to one
or more of the purposes named in the said Class II, the
Governor may, by notice gazetted, make such change, ex-
change, or dedication, as the case may be, and in such
notice declare the manner and terms in which the same is
intended to be so made:

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron
Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the Public Reserves and
Domains Act, 1908, aforesaid, declare my intention to change
the specific purpose of the portion of the reserve described
in the second column of the Schedule hereto from that
named in the first column of the said Schedule to that
named in the third column of the said Schedule.

All that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 27 perches, more or less, being part of Section No. 79A, Town of Hector. Bounded towards the south-east by Pitt Street, 100 links; towards the south-west by the road along the right-hand bank of the Ngakawau River, 150 links; towards the north-west by the road along the coast of Tasman Sea, 107.7 links; and towards the north-east by a line parallel to the south-westward boundary, 190 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5553/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. Site for a public library.

Trustees for Te Kuiti Public Cemetery appointed.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries
Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron
Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby appoint

    The Rev. EDWARD SALMON WAYNE and
    PATRICK COTTER

to be Trustees, in the place of Thomas Nicholas Snowdon
and Gerald Morse, to provide for the maintenance and
care of Te Kuiti Public Cemetery, in conjunction with
John Nicholls, William White, William Lorigan, and
Arnold Blackman, previously appointed.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this fifth day of October, one thousand nine
hundred and eleven.

Opening Education Reserves in Hawke's Bay Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, and the
Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, I, John
Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that
the education reserves described in the Schedule hereto
shall be open for selection on renewable lease for the term
of thirty-three years, with right of renewal for successive
periods of thirty-three years, on Thursday, the seventh day
of December, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, at the
rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also
declare that the said reserves shall be leased under and
subject to the provisions of the said Acts.

Situated about eight miles by road-line from Rakauroa,
and about thirteen miles from Otoko. Hilly country,
with some good easy slopes. Altitude, from 1,500 ft. to
2,000 ft. above sea-level. Heavy mixed bush, principally
tawa and rimu, with a mixed undergrowth. Soil good, on
papa formation.

eleven miles from Rakauroa, two miles from the Whare-
kopae Road, and about thirty-six miles from Gisborne.
Easy hilly country. Altitude, from 1,300 ft. to 1,600 ft.
above sea-level. Heavy mixed bush of tawa and a little
rimu, with a mixed undergrowth; well watered. Soil
good, on papa formation.

this thirtieth day of September, one thousand
nine hundred and eleven.

Opening Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale or Selection.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, John
Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor
of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report
of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section
one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare
that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open
for sale or selection on Monday, the twenty-seventh day of
November, one thousand nine hundred and eleven; and also
that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the
option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected
for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease;
and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands
shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said
Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall
be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the pro-
visions of the Land Act, 1908.
