Incorporating the Mimosa Downs Land Settlement Association.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of October, 1911.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS under section seven of the Land Settlement Finance Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided that, as soon as practicable after the complete execution of any agreement under the said Act, application in the prescribed form shall be made to the Governor, by or on behalf of the purchasers, for an Order in Council confirming the agreement in pursuance of the said Act: And whereas by sections eight and nine of the said Act it is further provided that upon receipt of such application the Minister of Finance shall refer the same, together with the agreement, to the Board of Land Purchase Commissioners for its report thereon, and if the Board reports that the agreement is fit and proper to be so confirmed the Governor may, if he thinks fit, by Order in Council confirm the agreement accordingly: And whereas under the provisions of the said Act an agreement, bearing date the twenty-sixth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, has been entered into between Charles Quin Hutchinson, vendor, of the one part, and Henry Fisk, sen., and Henry Fisk, jun. (as tenants in common), and Betsy Hutchinson, Charles Linton Hutchinson, James McConnell, and William Wilson McCardle, and Janet Catherine McCardle (as tenants in common), purchasers, of the other part, for the purchase of the land therein described, and the said purchasers therein agreed to become incorporated as the Mimosa Downs Land Settlement Association: And whereas application has been made in the prescribed form for the issue of an Order in Council confirming the said agreement: And whereas the said application, together with the said agreement, was referred to the Board of Land Purchase Commissioners for its report, and the Board has reported that no roading is required in respect of the said land, and that the said agreement is fit and proper to be so confirmed:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby confirm the said agreement dated the twenty-sixth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Recreation Reserves in Wellington Land District brought under Part II of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of October, 1911.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-sixth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserves for recreation in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserves shall hereafter be known as Maungaraki Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

SCHEDULE.

MAUNGARAKI DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 49 acres, more or less, being part of Subdivision 8A, Maungaraki Block, situated in Block VIII, Belmont Survey District. Bounded towards the north by the other part of Subdivision 8A, Maungaraki Block; towards the south-east by Section 80, Block VIII, Belmont Survey District; towards the south by Subdivision 9, Maungaraki Block; and towards the west generally by Maungaraki Road: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 49820/49, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Also all that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 58 acres 2 roods 20 perches, more or less, being Subdivision 6, Maungaraki Block, situated in Block VIII, Belmont Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Subdivision 4, Maungaraki Block; towards the east by Maungaraki Road; towards the south by Subdivision 3, Maungaraki Block, waterworks reserve; and towards the west by Section 15, Block VIII, Belmont Survey District: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 49820/49, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Altering Old-age Pensions Districts.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

WHEREAS by section three of the Old-age Pensions Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time divide New Zealand into such districts with such names and boundaries as he thinks fit: And whereas, in pursuance of that power, such districts were constituted and the boundaries thereof defined by regulations made by the Governor on the twenty-fourth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and ten, and published in the Gazette of the 31st day of the same month, at page 383: And whereas it is desired to alter those districts and boundaries in the manner hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby abolish the Helensville Old-age Pensions District, and doth include within the boundaries of the Auckland Old-age Pensions District the Kaukapakapa, Mairetahi, and Kumeu Ridings of the Waitemata County; and doth also abolish the Carterton Old-age Pensions District, and doth include within the boundaries of the Wellington Old-age Pensions District the Wairarapa South and Featherston Counties; and doth hereby alter the boundaries of the Wanganui and Marton Old-age Pensions Districts, and doth constitute the Taihape Old-age Pensions District, and doth declare the boundaries of the said Wanganui, Marton, and Taihape Old-age Pensions Districts as so altered or constituted to be as hereinafter set forth, namely:—

Wanganui Old-age Pensions District.

Waitotara County, and the whole of the Wanganui County with the exception of the Upper Wangaehu Riding.

Marton Old-age Pensions District.

The Ridings of Rangitoto, Otairi, Otakapu, Wangaehu, Porewa, and Rangatira, in the County of Rangitikei.

Taihape Old-age Pensions District.

The Counties of Waimarino and Kaitieke, the Upper Wangaehu Riding of the Wanganui County, and the Awarua, Te Kapua, and Erewhon Ridings of the Rangitikei County.

The Schedule set out in Regulation No. 70 of the regulations hereinbefore referred to is hereby amended so far as inconsistent herewith.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fifth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of Portion of a Reserve in the Nelson Land District.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

WHEREAS by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to change, exchange, or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in His Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; and in the case of any reserve made under the authority of section three hundred and twenty-one of the Land Act, 1908, if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose
