Revoking the Reservation over Portion of a Scenic Reserve in the Wellington Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by Proclamation dated the sixteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eighteenth day of the same month, certain land in the Wellington Land District was set apart as a reserve under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1903, and its amendments:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto (being part of the land so set apart) is no longer suitable for scenic purposes by reason of the destruction of the forest thereon:

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by section eight of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby revoke the Proclamation aforesaid in so far as it relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 roods, more or less, being portion of Section 9, Block VIII, Hunua Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west and north-east generally by streams, towards the south-east and south by the Pokatea-Kokokanui Road, and towards the south-west by other part of said Section 9 on a line bearing 320° 33′ 30″ from the road angle opposite traverse peg XXX; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 77/5, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Altering Regulations for Trout and Perch Fishing in the Wellington Acclimatization District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of September, 1911.

WHEREAS it is enacted in Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908, that the Governor in Council may from time to time, by Order in Council gazetted, make regulations to have force and effect throughout New Zealand or only in such waters or places as are specified in the regulations:

And whereas by Order in Council dated the twenty-seventh day of August, one thousand nine hundred and six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 75, of the thirtieth day of the same month, regulations for the Wellington Acclimatization District were made providing, inter alia, that no lures or baits other than artificial fly or artificial minnow shall be used in any of the rivers or streams set forth in the proviso to clause five of the said regulations, and it is desirable to alter such regulations by adding to the list of rivers or streams in which such artificial lures or baits only shall be used, and omitting from such list the Pakuratahi Stream, which was added by Order in Council dated the ninth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seven:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby alter the proviso to clause five of the said regulations of the twenty-seventh day of August, one thousand nine hundred and six, by adding to the list of rivers or streams therein mentioned within which artificial fly or artificial minnow only shall be used as lures or baits, the streams known as the Mangaterera (Wairarapa District), the Makarapu and the Makahiki (tributaries of the Ohau River), and the Waikawa, the Waitohu, and the Mangaone (Otaki District), and by deleting the Pakuratahi Stream from the streams in which such lures or baits only may be used:

Amended Regulations under the Stock Act, 1908, for the Prevention of Black-leg amongst Cattle.—Notice No. 1542.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of September, 1911.

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-third day of August, one thousand nine hundred and six, regulations were made under the Stock Act, 1893, for the prevention of black-leg among cattle: And whereas by those regulations certain lands described in the First Schedule thereto were declared to be infected areas within the meaning of the said Act: And whereas it is desired to alter the boundaries of the area described in the said regulations as “Infected Area A”:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Stock Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the aforesaid regulations by revoking that part of the First Schedule thereof which describes “Infected Area A,” and by substituting therefor the description set out in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the date of the publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

SCHEDULE.

INFECTED AREA A.

ALL that area in the Taranaki and Wellington Land Districts bounded towards the north generally by the Mokau River from the sea to the north-western corner of the Mokau-Mohakatino No. 1G Block; thence by the western and south-western boundaries of that block and the north-eastern boundary of Mokau-Mohakatino No. 1J Block to Tawhitiraupēka Trig. Station; thence by Blocks IV and VIII, Waro Survey District, to the Tongaporutu-Mangaroa Road; thence by that road to the westernmost corner of Section No. 22, Block V, Ohura Survey District; thence by the eastern watershed of the Tangarakau Stream, over Mahoewaruwaru, Tatu, and Peneta Trig. Stations to the Ohura Road; thence by the said Ohura Road to the Heao Stream; thence by that stream to the northern boundary of the Whangamomona County; thence by the leading spur eastwards to the western watershed of the Ohura River; thence by the watershed to the Wanganui River at Onetea; thence by the right bank of the said Wanganui River to the point where it meets the south-eastern boundary-line of the Taranaki Land District; thence towards the south by a right line to the intersection of the Patea River with the south-eastern boundary-line of the Hawera County; thence towards the south-east by the said south-eastern boundary-line of the Hawera County to the sea; and thence towards the south-west, west, and north-west by the sea to the Mokau River aforesaid.
