Mahoe Survey District; Sections 9, 8, and 1, Block XIV,
Mahoe Survey District; part Subdivisions 15 (300 acres)
and 16 (500 acres), Block XII, Ngatimaru Survey District;
part Subdivisions 1A (500 acres) and 2 (3,000 acres),
Block XIII, Mahoe Survey District; part Subdivision 13
(500 acres) and Subdivision 1c, Block XVI, Ngatimaru
Survey District; Subdivision 17, Block IX, Mahoe Survey
District; and Section 10, Block X, Mahoe Survey Dis-
trict : and that such special rate shall be an annual-recur-
ring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable
half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of
July in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan
is fully paid off.

The above resolution was passed at a special meeting of
the Council held on the 22nd day of March, 1911, in
accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans
Act, 1908, and its amendment, and the Counties Act, 1908.

PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL.
Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers
within all that area of land known as the Waiwhero
Drainage District, and as is more particularly shown on plan
deposited in the Piako County Council Office at Te Aroha,
was taken on the 19th day of August, 1911, on the pro-
posal by the Piako County Council to borrow the sum
of £1,500 for the purpose of drainage-works within the
said area.
The number of votes recorded in favour of the proposal
was 15. The number of votes recorded against the pro-
posal was 27.
I therefore declare the proposal to be lost.

OHAKUNE TOWN BOARD.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1908, and its amendments, I hereby give notice that at a
poll of the ratepayers of the Ohakune Town District taken
on the 7th day of September, 1911, on the proposal to
borrow £650 for the purpose of municipal buildings, fire-
brigade station and plant, the number of votes recorded
for the proposal was 122, and the number of votes recorded
against the proposal was 46.
I therefore declare the proposal was carried.

the Johnsonville Town Board, is published in accord-

JOHNSONVILLE TOWN BOARD.
THE following is the result of a poll taken by the Johnson-
ville Town Board on Wednesday, the 13th day of Sep-
tember, 1911, upon a proposal to borrow the sum of £4,300
under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, for the purpose
of installing a petrol-gas lighting system and the erection
of Board offices, when the following votes were recorded,
viz. :—
Lighting : For the proposal, 98 ; against, 21.
Offices : For the proposal, 86 ; against, 30 ; in-
formal, 1.
As the total number of valid votes recorded in favour
of each proposal exceeds three-fifths of the total number
of valid votes recorded in respect of each issue at the poll,
I therefore declare the proposals carried.

Borough of Invercargill, is published in accordance
with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908.

BOROUGH OF INVERCARGILL.
In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908,
and the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and the amend-
ments thereof ; and in the matter of a special loan of
£100,000 proposed to be raised by the Council of the
Borough of Invercargill under the said Acts.
I HEREBY give notice that on the 14th day of September,
1911, a proposal was submitted by the above-mentioned
Council to the ratepayers of the Borough of Invercargill
for raising a special loan of £100,000 for and in connec-
tion with the constructing, providing, and establishing the
public work and engaging in the undertaking and for the
purpose mentioned and set forth in the said proposal,
which proposal was published in the Southland Daily
News newspaper of the 12th, 19th, and 26th days of
August, 1911, and the 2nd day of September, 1911 ; and
that the number of votes recorded respectively for and
against the proposal was as follows : For the proposal,
596 votes ; against the proposal, 891 votes ; informal,
18 votes.
And I declare the said proposal to be rejected.
