to a point 3 chains beyond the north-west boundary of Section 13, Block V, Karioi Survey District, the said Waimarino County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2½d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Rangataua No. 2 Special-rating District, comprising all the properties situated within the following boundaries—commencing at a point where the south boundary of Section 13, Block V, Karioi Survey District, touches the Kopurutuku Road; thence in an easterly direction along the south boundary of Section 13, Block V, Karioi Survey District, to the north-east boundary of the said Section 13, Block V, Karioi Survey District; thence in a north-westerly direction along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 13, 12, 11, Block V, Karioi Survey District, to the north-west boundary of Section 10, Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District; thence south-west by the north-west boundary of Section 10, Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District, to the Kopurutuku Road; thence north by the north side of the Kopurutuku Road to the north side of the Rata-Maire Road; thence south by the north side of the Rangataua Road to the east boundary of Section 22, Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District; thence north-west by the east boundary of Section 22, Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District; thence generally south by the west boundaries of Sections 22, 21, 20, Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District, to the north boundary of the Otiranui Block, Makotuku Survey District; thence east and south by the north boundary of the Otiranui Block, Makotuku Survey District, to the west boundary of Section 4D, Otiranui Block, Makotuku Survey District; thence south by the west boundary of Section 4D, Otiranui Block, Makotuku Survey District, to the north boundary of Section 2, Otiranui Block, Makotuku Survey District; thence north-west by the north boundary of Section 2, Otiranui Block, Makotuku Survey District, to the west boundary of the said Section 2, Otiranui Block, Makotuku Survey District; thence south and east by the south and west boundaries of the said Section 2, Otiranui Block, to the east boundary of Section 4E No. 4, Otiranui Block, Makotuku Survey District; thence north by the east boundary of Section 4E No. 4, Otiranui Block, Makotuku Survey District, to the south boundary of Section 14, Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District; thence east by the south boundary of Section 14, Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District, to the starting-point, comprising all the following properties—Sections 10, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District; Sections 11, 12, 13, Block V, Karioi Survey District; Section 2, Otiranui Block; and Sections 4D, 4E No. 4, Otiranui Block, Makotuku Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off; the loan will bear interest at the rate of 3½ per cent. per annum, and it is proposed to pay out of the loan-moneys the first year's interest thereon and the cost of raising the loan.
I, John Punch, Acting-Chairman of the Waimarino County Council, do hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Waimarino County Council held on the 23rd day of November, 1910, and duly confirmed at a special meeting of the Waimarino County Council held on the 6th day of January, 1911.

Special Order made by the Council of the County of Oroua.
OROUA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, the Oroua County Council hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,800, authorized to be raised by the Oroua County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for construction of Fitzherbert Road East and Gardiner’s Road, the said Oroua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5/6 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the specialrating area, comprising Sections 1/24, 26/34, and 43/7, Block III, Gorge Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off. It is the intention of the Oroua County Council to pay out of the said loan the cost of raising same.
The above resolution was duly passed as a special order at a special meeting of the Oroua County Council held on the 4th day of August, 1911, and confirmed at a special meeting of the said Oroua County Council held on the 8th day of September, 1911.

CERTIFICATE UNDER SECTION 11 OF THE SLAUGHTERING AND INSPECTION ACT, 1908.
I, WILLIAM BURNETT, Mayor of the City of Dunedin, in accordance with section 11 of the Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1908, hereby certify that the Council of the City of Dunedin, by special order passed at a special meeting of the said Council on the 26th July, 1911, and duly confirmed at an ordinary meeting on the 23rd August, 1911, hath duly authorized the raising of a loan of £10,000 as a special loan for the purpose of establishing an abattoir for the City of Dunedin, under section 5 of the Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1908.

Resolution making Special Rate.—Upper Mangaehu Road Loan.—Additional Ten Per Centum.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Whangamomona County Council hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £150 (being 10 per centum of the original loan of £1,500), authorized to be raised by the Whangamomona County Council, under the abovementioned Act, for felling, forming to dray-road width, bridging (exclusive of the Mangaehu Bridge), and culverting the Mangaehu Road from the end of the present drayroad formation in a continuously easterly direction towards the Kohi Road junction for as far as the money will allow of, the said Whangamomona County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property of the Upper Mangaehu No. 1 Special-rating area, comprising Section 9, Block X,
