Rating Act, 1908, the Otatau Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the loan of £1,000 sterling, authorized to be raised by the Otatau Town Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, for the erection of a town hall and public reading-room and Town Board offices, together with such other rooms as are requisite for an up-to-date public hall; to pay the costs of the architect in the preparation of plans and specifications, the costs incidental to raising the loan, and the first year’s interest; also the cost of a lighting installation, the said Otatau Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3/16 of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of the property within the Otatau Town District, comprising 860 acres more or less, as described on page 1819 of the New Zealand Gazette No. 136, of the 27th December, 1883: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above resolution was passed at a meeting duly convened and held on Monday, 12th June, 1911, and confirmed at a meeting duly convened and held on Monday, 10th July, 1911.

Special Order making Special Rate.

THE following resolution, made by the Waimate Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments.

WAIMATE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, and the Public Health Act, 1908, the Waimate Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorized to be raised by the Waimate Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for construction of drainage-works for portion of the Borough of Waimate, the said Waimate Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Waimate; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution duly passed by the Waimate Borough Council at a meeting held on the 28th day of February, 1911.

CLIFTON COUNTY COUNCIL.
Copy of Resolution passed by the Clifton County Council at Meeting held 2nd June, 1911.
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, the Clifton County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the loan of £500, and the interest thereon, by the periodical payments as required by the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, and the charges and expenses incident thereto or connected therewith, which loan was authorized to be raised by the Clifton County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof, for the purpose of deviating and metalling a portion of the main North Road, Pukearuhe, the Clifton County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Pukearuhe Special-rating District, being Sections Nos. 1 to 24, 36 to 46, 54/6, 62 to 68, 73, 74, 75, 76, Block X, Mimi Survey District; Section No. 4, Block VI, Mimi Survey District; and Section No. 1, Block VI, Mimi Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Clifton County Council held on Friday, 2nd day of June, 1911.

THE following resolution, made by the Huntly Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments.

HUNTLY ROAD BOARD.
Moved by Mr. Bailey, That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and amendments thereof, the Huntly Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,500, authorized to be raised by the Huntly Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act and its amendments, for the purpose of further metalling the roads of the Matahuru Special-rating District, the said Huntly Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 9/32 of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property of the Matahuru Special-rating District, comprising the whole of the Matahuru Special-rating District of the Huntly Road District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or
