Situated about seventeen miles from Hangatiki Railway-station by formed road to within one mile of section; balance to be formed shortly.

Situated about seventeen to eighteen miles from Te Kuiti or Hangatiki Railway-stations by road formed to within three-quarters of a mile to one mile and a half of the sections. The unformed portion will be formed shortly.

Undulating to rough limestone country, covered with heavy mixed forest, principally tawa and rimu, with thick undergrowth of supplejack, konini, makomako, mahoe, &c. Soil of good quality, on limestone formation; well watered by streams. Situated about twelve miles from Te Kuiti by formed road, except two miles and a half, the formation of which will be undertaken immediately.

Opening Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale or Selection.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Tuesday, the twenty-fourth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eleven; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

Hilly and broken land; 68 acres in grass, 12 acres felled bush, balance heavy mixed forest comprising rimu, kahikatea, taraire, rata, totara, miro, tawa, kohekone, &c., with thick undergrowth of nikau, punga, supplejack, mahoe, kotukutuku, and kiekie. Soil a sandy clay and loam of good quality, mixed with rubble, on sandstone formation; well watered by streams. Situated thirteen miles from Taheke by rough cart-road, and the same distance from Kaikohe by partly-formed road and bridle-track.
