Opening Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale or Selection.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Tuesday, the twenty-fourth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eleven; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

Soil sandy loam of good quality, on sandstone formation; well watered. Situated about ten miles from Clevedon—six miles good metalled road, four miles rough cart-road, and about 20 chains not opened.

Black alluvial soil of fair quality, but stony; well watered. Situated eight miles from Kaihu by cart-road.

Altitude, 200 ft. to 400 ft. above sea-level. A small portion undulating, balance broken, covered with fern and manuka. Inferior clay soil, on sandstone formation; fairly well watered by stream and swampy springs. Situated three miles and a half from Albany—one mile formed cart-road, balance unformed but can be used for wheeled traffic.

Opening National Endowment Lands in Westland Land District for Selection.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the national endowment lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Tuesday, the fourteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Situated on the Waitangi-taona River, two miles and a half from Matainui Post-office by good metalled dray-road for two miles, and balance by river-bed.
