Exempting Wilkinson Street, in the City of Wellington, from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to certain Conditions as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of August, 1911.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having control of a road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council.
And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions as the Governor by Order in Council thinks fit to impose:
And whereas on the twenty-fifth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and ten, the Wellington City Council, the local authority having control of the street described in the Schedule hereto, did by resolution declare that the provisions of the said section one hundred and seventeen should not apply to the said street:
And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved, subject to the condition hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on either side of the said street within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said street.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that street in the City of Wellington, known as Wilkinson Street, commencing at its junction with Grass Street, and proceeding in a south-easterly and then south-westerly direction through Sections 424 and 425, in the City of Wellington, being a distance of 6½ chains, more or less; as the said street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 27395, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

Incorporating Part of Gonville Town District with Gonville and Castlecliff Tramway District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of August, 1911.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by subsection two of section two of the Gonville and Castlecliff Tramway District Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is, among other things, enacted that the Governor may from time to time, upon the petition of the majority of the ratepayers of any portion of a town district, by Order in Council direct that such portion shall thenceforth be incorporated with and form part of the Gonville and Castlecliff Tramway District:
And whereas, in pursuance of the said section, a petition has been presented to the Governor by the majority of the ratepayers resident in that portion of the Gonville Town District described in the Schedule hereto:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to direct that the area described in the said Schedule shall be incorporated with and form part of the said tramway district:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct that the portion of the Gonville Town District described in the Schedule hereto shall henceforth be incorporated with and form part of the said Gonville and Castlecliff Tramway District.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at the present boundary of the Gonville and Castlecliff Tramway District at the westernmost corner of Lot 101, Township of Castlecliff, and proceeding thence by a right line in a south-westerly direction across Duthie Street and along the south-eastern side of Cross Street to a point in line with the south-western side of Polson Street; thence by a right line in a north-westerly direction across Cross Street and along the said south-western side of Polson Street to the south-eastern side of Jackson Street; thence by a right line in a south-westerly direction along the said south-eastern side of Jackson Street and across Thatcher Street to the south-western side of Thatcher Street; thence by a right line in a north-westerly direction along the said south-western side of Thatcher Street to the south-eastern side of Peat Street; thence by a right line in a south-westerly direction along the said south-eastern side of Peat Street to a point in line with the south-western side of Laird Street; thence by a right line in a north-westerly direction across Peat Street and along the said south-western side of Laird Street to the south-eastern side of Carson Street; thence by a right line in a south-westerly direction along the said south-eastern side of Carson Street to the south-western side of Cornfoot Street at the northernmost corner of Lot 18, Township of Castlecliff; thence by a right line in a north-westerly direction across Carson Street to the north-western side of Carson Street at the easternmost corner of Lot 15 of the Township of Castlecliff; and from thence by the present boundary of the Gonville and Castlecliff Tramway District to the point of commencement.

Invercargill Athenæum declared a Leasing Authority under the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of August, 1911.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the eleventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the fourteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and six, the Invercargill Athenæum was declared to be subject to the provisions of the Public Bodies’ Powers Act, 1887:
And whereas the said athenæum has, in terms of subsection three of section fourteen of the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), requested that the said Order in Council may be revoked:
And whereas the Invercargill Athenæum is a body of persons having power to lease land held in trust, reserved, or set apart for public purposes, and has requested the Governor in Council to declare it to be a leasing authority within the meaning of the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the aforesaid Order in Council of the eleventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and six, but without prejudice to anything heretofore done thereunder; and, further, in compliance with the aforesaid request of the said Invercargill Athenæum, and in pursuance and exercise of the above-recited powers, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council as aforesaid, doth hereby order and declare that the said Invercargill Athenæum is a leasing authority within the meaning of the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.
