the southern boundary of Mr. Kieley's, jun., property for a distance of 20 chains; thence in a southerly direction across Section 4, Block I, Wairere Survey District, to a point on Steele's Road 14 chains west of Knight's Road; thence along the said road to Knight's Road; thence along Knight's Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 38 chains; thence at right angles for a distance of 38 chains across Section 8, Block I, Wairere Survey District, to its boundary with Section 7 of the said block, along the eastern boundary of said Section 7 to the School Road, along the School Road in a westerly direction until it junctions with the Hunga Hunga Road, along the Hunga Hunga Road in a southerly direction to the Diagonal Road, along the Diagonal Road in an easterly direction to the south-east corner of Section 6, Block II, Wairere Survey District; thence along the eastern boundary of Section 6 to the south-east corner of Section 4, along the said south-eastern boundary of Section 4 to the Stanley Road, which along to the point of commencement; and including the area taken in by Cassidy's outlet drain: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st days of April and October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Piako was hereto affixed this 27th day of April, 1911.

The above special orders were duly passed at a special meeting of the Piako County Council held at Te Aroha on the 9th day of March, 1911, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the said Council held on the 7th day of April, 1911.

Special Order made by the Christchurch Tramway Board.

THE following special order, made by the Christchurch Tramway Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

CHRISTCHURCH TRAMWAY BOARD.

Notice is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Christchurch Tramway Board held on Thursday, the 29th day of June, 1911, the following resolution was passed; and that it was duly confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the Board held on Monday, the 7th day of August, 1911, at 4 p.m., in the Board Room, Falsgrave Street:—

Special Rate as Security for Special Loan, £35,000.

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Acts amending the same, and the Christchurch Tramway District Act, 1906, the Christchurch Tramway Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £35,000, authorized to be raised by the said Christchurch Tramway Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of repaying liabilities lawfully incurred, the said Christchurch Tramway Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3/100 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property (according to the capital rateable value thereof) of that portion of the Christchurch Tramway District described in the First Schedule of the Christchurch Tramway District Act, 1906; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-three years from the 1st day of October, 1911, or until the loan is fully paid up.

Special Order made by the Council of the Borough of Miramar.

THE following special order, made by the Miramar Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

MIRAMAR BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1908, and the Wellington Harbour Board Reclamation and Empowering Act, 1908, and all other Acts, powers, or authorities (if any) vested in it or in any-wise enabling it in that behalf, the Miramar Borough Council doth hereby resolve (by special order) as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a special loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Miramar Borough Council, under the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, for the purpose of contributing towards the cost of the Miramar Wharf and roadworks as provided by the Wellington Harbour Board Reclamation and Empowering Act, 1908, the said Miramar Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Miramar, comprising the whole of the said Borough of Miramar; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years from the 1st day of June, 1911, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Miramar Borough Council held on the 6th day of July, 1911, and duly confirmed at a special meeting of the said Council held on the 4th day of August, 1911.

Resolution made by the Ohakune Town Board.

THE following resolution, made by the Ohakune Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

OHAKUNE TOWN BOARD.

Resolution making Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, the Ohakune Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200, being an additional loan of 10 per cent. on the original loan of £2,000 for roads and footpaths construction within the Ohakune Town District, the Ohakune Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/16 of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Ohakune Town District, comprising the whole of the rateable area of the Ohakune Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at an ordinary meeting of the Ohakune Town Board held on Tuesday, the 8th August, 1911.
