Notice respecting Proposed Borough of Ohakune, County of Waimarino.

Wellington, 12th August, 1911.
PURSUANT to section 117 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor directs it to be notified that a petition has been presented to him praying for the constitution of the area described in the Schedule hereto as a borough under the said Act, to be named the Borough of Ohakune. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the constitution of the said borough which they may desire to lodge, within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARIES OF PROPOSED BOROUGH OF OHAKUNE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Section No. 2, Block V, Karioi Survey District; thence along the north-western boundary of that section, across a rail-
way and road reserve, and along the north-western boundary of Section No. 28, Block V aforesaid, to the Ohakune-Waiouru Road; thence across that road and along its southern side to the north-western corner of Section No. 16, Block V aforesaid; thence along the north-western boundary of that section to the Ratamaire Road; thence along the northern side of the said Ratamaire Road to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 26, Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District; thence along the south-western boundary of that section, across a road, along the south-western and north-western boundaries of Section No. 2, Block VIII aforesaid, along the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 4, and along the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 5, Block VIII aforesaid, and that boundary produced to the Mangawhero River; thence across that river to the easternmost corner of Subdivision No. 1 of Raetihi No. 3B Block; thence along the north-western boundary of the said Raetihi No. 3B Block and that boundary produced to the Waimarino Road; thence across the said road to the southernmost corner of Crown land, as proclaimed in the New Zealand Gazette No. 36, of the 4th May, 1911, page 1447; thence along the south-eastern boundary of the said Crown land to the Main Trunk Railway line; thence across the said railway-line and along its north-eastern side to railway reserve of 53 acres 2 roods, formerly part of Raetihi No. 4B Block; thence along the northern boundary of the said railway reserve and the said northern boundary produced to the south-western boundary of Raetihi No. 5B Block; thence along the last-mentioned boundary to the Mangawhero River; thence across that river and a road reserve to Section No. 3, Block I, Karioi Survey District; thence along part of the north-western boundary of that section and along its southern boundary to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 1, Block V, Karioi Survey District; and thence across a road and along the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 1 aforesaid to the place of commencement.

THE following special orders, made by the Piako County Council, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order No. 1.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 15 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and with the consent of the ratepayers of the Manawaru Drainage District, testified by a petition signed by not less than three-fourths of the ratepayers in the said district, the unimproved values of whose properties as appearing on the valuation roll of the said district are collectively greater than the unimproved values of the properties of the ratepayers who do not consent, the Piako County Council hereby resolves by way of special order as follows: For the purpose of drainage-construction works in the Manawaru Drainage District the said Council hereby authorizes the raising from the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Office Superintendent of a loan of £600 at 3½ per cent., being with half-yearly instalments £4 17s. 6d. per annum for a period of thirty-six years and a half; and declares that the cost of raising the loan and the interest for the first year shall be paid thereout.
Special Order No. 2.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Piako County Council hereby resolves by way of special order as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £600, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the construction of drainage-works in the Manawaru Drainage District, the Piako County Council hereby levies a special rate of 11/16 of a penny per pound on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the Manawaru Drainage District, being all that area of land situated in the Manawaru Riding of the County of Piako commencing at Hogan’s Corner, at the intersection of Knight’s Road with the Stanley Road: thence in a westerly direction along
