HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in
him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other
powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Ex-
cellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and
declare that the roads described in the Schedule hereto

Government roads.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Makarewa
Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this seventh day
of August, 1911.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves
and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the
said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time
to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such
persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain
Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control
of such domain :

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the seven-
teenth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of
the twenty-fifth day of November, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-six, certain powers were delegated to
the Makarewa Domain Board, no period being specified :

And whereas by section fifty-four of the said Act the
period for which the said Board shall hold office will
expire on the twenty-fifth day of August, one thousand
nine hundred and eleven :

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a
Domain Board to control the Makarewa Domain :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers con-
ferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby appoint

THOMAS EDWARD GAZZARD,
JOHN KALLM,
JOHN WILLIAM GEDNEY,
CHARLES COOK,
ROBERT WALDRON, and
FRANK WALDRON,

as from the twenty-sixth day of August, one thousand nine
hundred and eleven, to be the Makarewa Domain Board,
having the control of the land described in the Schedule
hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of
Part II of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Satur-
day, the ninth day of September, one thousand nine hun-
dred and eleven, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when,
and the Makarewa School, as the place where, the first
meeting of the said Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.
MAKAREWA DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 13 acres and 18 perches, more or less,
being Section No. 1, Block VIII, Town of Makarewa.
Bounded towards the north by Flora Road, 690 links ;
towards the east by Section 2 in the said block, 1901 links ;
towards the south by Section 10 in the said block, 690
links ; and towards the west by Minerva Road, 1901 links :
be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : as the same
is delineated on the plan marked L. 1094, deposited in the
Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red.
