Special Order made by the Council of the Borough of Eketa-huna.

THE following special order, made by the Eketa-huna Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

EKETAHUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.

THAT the Eketa-huna Borough Council do make the following special order making a special rate :—

That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Eketa-huna Borough Council hereby resolves: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,400, authorized to be raised by the Eketa-huna Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of duplicating and extending certain of the plant at the Borough Electric Light and Power Station, the said Eketa-huna Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅓d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Eketa-huna, as defined in the Schedule to the Eketa-huna Borough Act, 1906; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring special rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of thirty-three years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the above special order was duly made at a special meeting of the Eketa-huna Borough Council held on the 6th day of June, 1911, and confirmed at a special meeting held on the 10th day of July, 1911.

CHRISTCHURCH TRAMWAY BOARD.—NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Christchurch Tramway Board held on Tuesday, the 6th day of June, 1911, the following resolution was passed, and was duly confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the Board held on Monday, the 17th day of July, 1911, at 4 p.m., in the Board Room, Falsgrave Street :—

Special Loan, £35,000.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Christchurch Tramway Board doth hereby make the following special order :—

  1. That the Board raise the sum of £35,000 by special loan for the purpose of paying liabilities lawfully incurred.

  2. That such loan be repayable on the 1st day of October, 1934.

  3. (a.) That the security for such loan shall be the whole of the tramway undertaking of the Board within that portion of the Christchurch Tramway District described in the First Schedule of the Christchurch Tramway District Act, 1906, and the revenues arising therefrom, subject to existing charges.

(b.) A special rate to be made and levied for the purpose of such loan over that portion of the Christchurch Tramway District described in the preceding clause.

  1. That provision for the repayment of such loan be made by a sinking fund of 10s. per centum per annum.

  2. That the cost of raising the loan, but not the first year’s interest thereon, be paid out of the loan.

CHRISTCHURCH TRAMWAY BOARD.—NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Christchurch Tramway Board held on Tuesday, the 6th day of June, 1911, the following resolution was passed, and was duly confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the Board held on Monday, the 17th day of July, 1911, in the Board Room, Falsgrave Street :—

Special Rate as Security for Special Loan, £24,000.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Acts amending the same, and the Christchurch Tramway District Act, 1906, the Christchurch Tramway Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £24,000 to be raised by the said Christchurch Tramway Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, and by a poll of the ratepayers of the Hackthorne Road Tramway Special-rating Area taken on the 2nd day of March, 1911, for the purpose of constructing and equipping a tramway in and for the benefit of the said special-loan district, the said Christchurch Tramway Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1d. and 4/5 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property (according to the capital rateable value thereof) of the Hackthorne Road Tramway Special-rating Area, comprising all those portions of the Heathcote and Halswell Road Districts which were duly defined by the said Christchurch Board under the provisions of section 3 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, at a meeting held on the 9th day of January, 1911, the boundaries of which were duly published on the 12th day of January, 1911, in the Lyttelton Times and the Christchurch Press newspapers circulating in the district; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-three years from the 1st day of October, 1911, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Resolution made by the Papakura Town Board.

THE following resolution, made by the Papakura Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment.

PAPAKURA TOWN BOARD.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Papakura Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest, and also the other charges, on a loan of £1,250, authorized to be raised by the Papakura Town Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for improving portions of Station Road, Great South Road, Onslow Road, Ranfurly Road, and Boundary Road, and replacing two bridges on Boundary Road and obtaining a supply of metal, the said Papakura Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 6/13 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable values of all rateable property of the Papakura Town District, in the County of Manukau; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
