Notifying Lands in Wellington Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Tuesday, the thirty-first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

LOCALITY AND DESCRIPTION.

Pohonui is situated on the Mangamahoe Road, about twenty-seven miles from Hunterville. Generally speaking the land is hilly, with a few flats, covered with light bush. The soil is of a dark loam of good quality. The Pohonui School is about a mile distant.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-fourth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Land temporarily reserved for a Site for a Public School in the Wellington Land District.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for a site for a public school.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres and 6 perches, more or less, being Section 14, Block XIV, Momahaki Survey District. Commencing at a road angle immediately opposite the boundary-line between Sections 2 and 3, Block XIV, Momahaki Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by a public road, 376·3 links; towards the north-east and south-east by a road and river-bank reserve, and by a public road, 755·1 links, 208·4 links, and 595·7 links; and towards the west by a public road, 679·2 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1911/347, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-fourth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Bounded towards the north-east by Section 7, Block III, Te Kuri Survey District, 456·9 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 100 links wide, and by a public road, 150 links wide, 700 and 96·6 links respectively; and towards the south-west by Section 8, Block II, Village of Mapau, 830·1 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5549/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered purple. (Auckland Plan 13791, blue.)

Lands in the Nelson Land District temporarily reserved for the Use and Support of Aboriginal Natives.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :
