Lands withdrawn from State Forests.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the lands specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto are State forests under the control of the
Commissioner of State Forests appointed under the State Forests Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed "the said
Act"), and the said lands are now no longer required for State-forest purposes : And whereas plans showing the extent
and position of the said lands, and a statement of the reasons why they are no longer required for State-forest purposes,
have been laid before both Houses of Parliament for a period of thirty days, and no resolution has been passed by either
of such Houses objecting to the issue of this Proclamation ;

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers
conferred by section twenty-eight of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, and
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the Pro-
clamations specified in the second column of the Schedule hereto, so far as they relate to the lands described in the
first column of the Schedule hereto, as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette; and doth
hereby proclaim and declare that from and after such date the parcels of land described in the first column of the
Schedule hereto shall be no longer subject to the provisions of the said Act.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 28 acres 3 roods, more
or less, being Section No. 26, Block I, Mangahao Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east
generally by a road and by Section No. 24, Block I, Mangahao Survey District; towards the east
generally by the road forming part of the western boundary of Section No. 27 of said Block I ; towards
the south and south-west generally by a road ; and towards the north-west by a right line bearing 41°
22' 30" from the northernmost angle of the last-mentioned road to the road forming the north-eastern
boundary : as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 25119/17, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.
All that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,980 acres, more
or less, situated in Blocks V and IX, Wakamarina Survey District. Commencing at the south-east
corner of Section No. 23, Block V, and bounded towards the north by Crown land, 5460·3 links ; thence
towards the north-west by Crown land, 2912·9 links ; thence towards the north-east by State forest,
Sections Nos. 86 and 43, Block V, Section No. 2, Block IX, and the crossing of a public road to the
north-west corner of Section No. 47, Block IX aforesaid, 5200, 4150, 5807·5, and 147·5 links ; thence
towards the east by Section No. 47 of said Block IX, 1400 links ; thence towards the north by the
last-named section, 2500 links ; thence towards the south-east by Sections Nos. 54 and 55, Block
IX aforesaid, 3918 links, and by part Section No. 56, 2075 links ; thence towards the south by part
Sections Nos. 56 and 58 of said Block IX, 2850 links ; thence towards the south-west, south-east, and
north-east by State forest, 4900, 2900, and 3550 links respectively ; thence again towards the south
by Sections Nos. 60, 61, 62, and part 63, Block IX aforesaid, to the south-east corner of Section No.
63 of said block, 8709·6 links ; thence again towards the north-west by Section No. 68, Block IX, to
the north-east corner of that section, 971·5 links ; thence again towards the north-west and south-
west by Crown land, 4823·7, 3381, and 4171·7 links ; thence again towards the north-west by part
Section No. 7, Block IX aforesaid, and the crossing of a public road, 1185 links ; thence again to-
wards the south-west by a public road, 3800 links, to the south-east corner of Section No. 9 of said
Block V ; thence again towards the north-west by Sections Nos. 9, 15, 18, 20, 21, Block V, the crossing
of a public road, and by Section No. 22, Block V aforesaid, 9107·8 links, to the point of commence-
ment ; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan marked
L. 5424/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered
red.

All that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 118 acres, more
or less, situated in Block II, Heringa Survey District. Commencing at the north-west corner of Sec-
tion No. 8, said Block II, and bounded thence towards the north-west by the Blenheim–Nelson main
road, 4742 links, to the Rai River ; thence towards the north and east generally by the said Rai
River to the production of the road forming the south-west boundary of Section No. 8, Block II,
Heringa Survey District ; thence towards the south-west by said road, 301 links ; thence again towards
the north-west and south-west by said Section No. 8, 406·9 and 470 links respectively, to the point of
commencement : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan
marked L. 7441/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red.

Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zea-

House, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand
nine hundred and eleven.
