Koane Road and the watershed between the Whenuakura and Waitotara Rivers to Kapara Trig. Station; thence by a right line to the source of the Tawhiti Stream; thence by that stream to the Whenuakura River; thence by the said Whenuakura River to the sea; and thence by the sea to the mouth of the Manawapou River, the place of commencement.
WAVERLEY DISTRICT.
All that area in the Taranaki and Wellington Land Districts bounded towards the north generally by a right line from Taurakawa Trig. Station to the summit of Mount Humphries; thence by the northern boundaries of Taurakawa and Omara Survey Districts to the Wanganui River; thence towards the east generally by the Wanganui River and the boundary between the Taranaki and Wellington Land Districts to the watershed between the Waitotara and Wanganui Rivers; thence by that watershed and the summit of the range over Pukeariki Trig. Station to the north-western corner of Pakaraka Native Reserve; thence by the said Native reserve and Sections Nos. 42, 61, and 62, Block XIII, Nukumaru Survey District, and the north-western boundary-line of the last-mentioned section produced to the sea; thence towards the south and south-west by the sea to the mouth of the Whenuakura River; thence towards the west by the Whenuakura River to the Tawhiti Stream; thence by that stream to its source; thence by a right line to Kapara Trig. Station; thence by the watershed between the Whenuakura and Waitotara Rivers to Koane Road; thence by that road and Moeawatea Road to Matemateaonga Trig. Station; thence by a right line to Taurakawa Trig. Station, the place of commencement.
WANGANUI DISTRICT.
All that area in the Wellington Land District bounded towards the north-west by a right line from a point on the sea-shore in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 63, Block XIII, Nukumaru Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of that section; thence by Sections Nos. 63, 64, 44, and 43, Block XIII aforesaid, and by the north-western boundary-line of Pakaraka Native Reserve to the north-western corner of that reserve; thence by the summit of the range over Pukeariki Trig. Station and by the watershed between the Waitotara and Wanganui Rivers to the boundary between the Taranaki and Wellington Land Districts; thence by that boundary to the Wanganui River; thence towards the north generally by a line across the Wanganui River and by its left bank to the northern boundary of the Tauakira Block; thence by the northern boundary of the Tauakira Block to the Mangawhero River; thence by the Mangawhero River to its confluence with the Rangitatau Stream; thence by the Rangitatau Stream to Field's Track; thence by Field's Track to the Waokaramu Stream; thence by that stream to the Wangaehu River; thence by the Wangaehu River to its confluence with the Rangiwaia Stream; thence by that stream to its source; thence by a right line to the summit of Tuhirangi Mountain; thence towards the east generally by the western watershed of the Hautapu and Rangitikei Rivers to the road forming the southern boundary of Section No. 24, Block VIII, Tiriraukawa Survey District; thence by that road and Sections Nos. 25 and 27, said Block VIII, to the western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by the summit of the range over Trig. Stations P. and C., and by the western watershed of Porewa Stream, and by the summit of the range over Okota Trig. Station to Tiriraukawa Trig. Station; thence by the northern boundary of the block formerly known as Paraekaretu Block, and by Section No. 107, Block I, Ongo Survey District, by a road-line bounding Sections Nos. 105, 106, 51, 52, and 62, Block I, Ongo Survey District, by Section No. 56 of said Block I, Sections Nos. 57, 23, and 22, Block V, Sections Nos. 27 and 28, Block IX, Ongo Survey District, and by the Tarakiki Block to its westernmost corner; thence towards the south-west by the north-eastern boundary-line of the block formerly known as the Rangitikei Block and its production to the right bank of the Wangaehu River; thence again towards the east generally by the Wangaehu River to the sea; and thence again towards the south-west by the sea to the place of commencement.
PLEASANT POINT DISTRICT.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded towards the north-east by the Opihi River from Three-mile Bush Road at the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 20125, Block XIII, Opihi Survey District, to the north-western boundary-line of Section No. 21122, Block IV, Pareora Survey District; thence towards the
south-east generally by that section and Section No. 10454, Block IV, and Sections Nos. 12448, 16677, and 17800, Block VIII, Pareora Survey District, to the Albury Railway line; thence by that railway-line to the road forming the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 15425, Block VIII, Pareora Survey District; thence by that road and its continuation, passing Sections Nos. 12242, 13744, 12875, 13516, 15830, 15877, 17304, and 19165, Block VIII, Pareora Survey District, to the road at the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 17311; thence by the road which forms the south-eastern boundaries of Rural Sections Nos. 17311, 19165, 19454, 19427, 19222, 18561, and 23283, by the road which intersects Rural Section No. 18558, and by that road continued in a south-westerly direction through Rural Sections Nos. 18559, 19552, and 19553, and passing Rural Sections Nos. 25600, 21782, and 29557, intersecting Rural Sections Nos. 23303 and 18688, and passing Rural Sections Nos. 15493, 15495, 18766, and 18768, to the southern boundary-line of the last-mentioned section; thence by Rural Section No. 18864 to the road forming the south-western boundary of that section; thence by that road, passing Rural Sections Nos. 18873, 21787, 25588, and 20970, by Rural Sections Nos. 20970, 36045, 33346, 21909, 21908, and 21906, to the road forming the north-western boundary of the last-mentioned section; thence by that road and the road intersecting Rural Sections Nos. 21906, 33141, and 36211, passing Rural Sections Nos. 30253 and 28531, intersecting Rural Section No. 33289, passing Rural Section No. 33287, intersecting Rural Section No. 21575, and passing Rural Sections Nos. 33285 and 33826, to the Pareora River; thence by that river to its source; thence by a right line to Mount Nimrod; thence towards the south-west generally by the eastern watershed of the Hakateramea River to a point due west of the source of Rocky Creek; and thence towards the north-west generally by a right line to the source of Rocky Creek, and by that creek to the Tengawai River; thence by the said Tengawai River to the Three-mile Bush Road at Section No. 31984, Block IV, Opawa Survey District; thence by that road through Block IV aforesaid to the Opihi River at the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 20125, Block XIII, Opihi Survey District, the place of commencement.
MOUNT COOK DISTRICT.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded towards the north-west by the summit of the Southern Alps; towards the north-east generally by a straight line bearing south 45° east to the source of the Forbes River; thence by the summit of the watershed over Mount Chevalier, Mount Sinclair, the Two-thumb Range, and Fox Peak to the source of the north branch of the Opuha River; thence by that branch and by the left bank of the Opuha River to the confluence of the latter river with the Opihi River; thence by the said Opihi River to the road forming the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 20125, Block XIII, Opihi Survey District, known as the Three-mile Bush Road; thence towards the south generally by that road to and through Block IV, Opawa Survey District, to the Tengawai River at Section No. 31984 of the said Block IV; thence by the said Tengawai River to the confluence of Rocky Creek with that river; thence by Rocky Creek to its source; thence by a right line running due west to the eastern watershed of the Hakateramea River; thence by the said eastern watershed and the summit of Dalgety Range to Hakateramea Pass; thence by the Hakateramea Pass Road to Burke’s Pass Road; thence by the last-mentioned road to Stony Creek; thence by that creek to its confluence with the Waitaki River; thence by the Waitaki River to its confluence with the Ohau River; thence by the last-mentioned river to Lake Ohau; thence by a right line running in the direction of Mount Aspiring to the western watershed of the Ahuriri River; thence towards the west generally by that watershed and the summit of the range northwards to the summit of the Southern Alps aforesaid.
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven.
