A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by the Marriage Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage districts known as the Waitara, Patea, Waverley, Wanganui, Pleasant Point, and Mount Cook Districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into seven marriage districts, the names and boundaries whereof shall be as follows:β€”

WAITARA DISTRICT.

All that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded towards the north and north-west by the ocean from the mouth of the Waiongona River to a point due west of the trig. station on the summit of Mount Tiger; then again towards the north by a right line to the said trig. station on Mount Tiger; then towards the north-east generally by the southern watershed of the Mohakatino River and the summit of the range over Mount Dampier to Section No. 17, Block II, Pouatu Survey District; then towards the south-east generally by Sections Nos. 17 and 18, Block II aforesaid, to Mount Dampier Road; then by that road to its junction with the Mangapapa Road; then by the last-mentioned road to the Waitara River; then by that river to the confluence of the Makino Stream with the said Waitara River; then by the Makino Stream to Block VII, Huiroa Survey District; then towards the south-west generally by Blocks VII and VI, Huiroa Survey District, to the Manganui River; then by that river to the Kurapete Stream; then by the said Kurapete Stream to Section No. 238, Huirangi District, Huiroa Survey District; then by that section and Sections Nos. 233, 230, 221, 215, 214, 205, and 212, Huirangi District aforesaid, to the Waiongona River; and then by that river to the sea, the place of commencement.

WHANGAMOMONA DISTRICT.

All that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded towards the north generally by the Mangapapa Road from the Waitara River to Mount Dampier Road; then by the last-mentioned road to the south-western corner of Section No. 6, Block XIV, Waro Survey District; then by Sections Nos. 6 and 7, Block XIV aforesaid, to the south-eastern corner of the latter section; then by the summit of the range to Mangapapa Trig. Station; then by the north-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 1, Block III, Pouatu Survey District, and the production of that boundary-line to the northern boundary-line of Whangamomona County as described in the First Schedule to the Whangamomona County Act, 1907; then by the northern boundary-line of that county to the Wanganui River; then towards the south-east by the Wanganui River to the northern boundary of Omara Survey District; then towards the south generally by the northern boundaries of Omara and Taurakawa Survey Districts to the summit of Mount Humphries; then by a right line to Taurakawa Trig. Station; then by a line along the summit of the Matemateaonga Range to a point in line with the southern boundary-line of Section No. 11, Block VIII, Ngaiire Survey District; then by a right line running due west to the Patea River; then towards the west generally by that river to the confiscation boundary-line at the south-western corner of Toko A Block; then by the said confiscation boundary-line to the northernmost corner of the said Toko A Block; then by a line running due north to the watershed between the Waitara and Patea Rivers; then by that watershed to the eastern boundary of Block XV, Huiroa Survey District; then by the said Block XV and Blocks XI and VII, Huiroa Survey District, to Makino Stream; then by that stream to its confluence with the Waitara River; and then by the Waitara River to the Mangapapa Road, the place of commencement.

PATEA DISTRICT.

All that area in the Taranaki and Wellington Land Districts bounded towards the north-west by the Manawapou River from the sea to its confluence with the Ingahape Stream; then by that stream to its source; then towards the west generally by a right line to the Patea River at its intersection by the confiscation boundary-line in the Pukekino Block; then by the Patea River to the southern boundary-line of the Omona Survey District; then by that boundary-line to the main watershed between the Patea and Whenuakura Rivers; then by that watershed and the summit of the Matemateaonga Range to Taurakawa Trig. Station; then towards the east generally by a right line to Matemateaonga Trig. Station; then by the Moeawatea Road to its junction with the Koane Road; then by the
