Extension of Time for Preparation of County Rolls, &c.,
Grey County.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of July, 1911.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that the preparation of the rolls for the County of Grey, and the taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and taken within the times mentioned in the Counties Act, 1908, and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said Counties Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the several dates mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be the respective dates for taking the several steps set out in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

  1. For preparing the defaulters list and the rolls for the ridings within the County of Grey: Until the 17th day of July, 1911.

  2. Time for which such list and rolls shall be open for inspection: From the 22nd day of July, 1911, to the 14th day of August, 1911.

  3. Time for appeals against the said rolls: Until the 28th day of August, 1911.

  4. Revision Courts may sit for hearing applications with reference to the said rolls, and adjourn: Until the 18th day of September, 1911.

  5. Time when the said rolls, having been duly corrected and signed, shall come into force: On the 2nd day of October, 1911.

Incorporating the Glengariff Land Settlement Association.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this tenth day of July, 1911.

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES CARROLL, K.C.M.G.,
PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section seven of the Land Settlement Finance Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided that, as soon as practicable after the complete execution of any agreement under the said Act, application in the prescribed form shall be made to the Governor, by or on behalf of the purchasers, for an Order in Council confirming the agreement, in pursuance of the said Act: And whereas by sections eight and nine of the said Act it is further provided that upon receipt of such application the Minister of Finance shall refer the same, together with the agreement, to the Board of Land Purchase Commissioners for its report thereon; and if the Board reports that the agreement is fit and proper to be so confirmed the Governor may, if he thinks fit, by Order in Council confirm the agreement accordingly: And whereas under the provisions of the said Act an agreement bearing date the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, has been entered into between Louisa Grace Charlotte Greenslade, vendor, of the one part, and Richard Josiah Graham, John Morrison Stirling, George Farrell, William George Tarr, James Albert Cooper, also Robert Albert McCardle and Albert Hirst as tenants in common, and Joseph Cyril Proffitt and Thomas Cheetham as tenants in common, purchasers, of the other part, for the purchase of the land therein described, and the said purchasers therein agreed to become incorporated as the Glengariff Land Settlement Association: And whereas application has been made in the prescribed form for the issue of an Order in Council confirming the said agreement: And whereas the said application, together with the said agreement, was referred to the Board of Land Purchase Commissioners for its report, and the Board has reported that no roading is required in respect of the said land, and that the agreement is fit and proper to be so confirmed:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby confirm the said agreement dated the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Manaiā Town District not to be Part of County of Waimate West.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of July, 1911.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the Governor is satisfied that the population of the Manaiā Town District, in the County of Waimate West, exceeds five hundred, and the Town Board of the said Manaiā Town District has made application that the said town district shall not form part of the County of Waimate West, being the county within the boundaries of which it is situated:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Town Boards Amendment Act, 1908 (No. 2), and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that, on and after the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, the Manaiā Town District shall not form part of the County of Waimate West.

New Lynn Town District not to be Part of County of Waitemata.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of July, 1911.

WHEREAS the Governor is satisfied that the population of the New Lynn Town District, in the County of Waitemata, exceeds five hundred, and the Town Board of the said New Lynn Town District has made application that the said town district shall not form part of the County of Waitemata, being the county within the boundaries of which it is situated:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Town Boards Amendment Act, 1908 (No. 2), and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that, on and after the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, the New Lynn Town District shall not form part of the County of Waitemata.

Vesting Reserves in the Kawhia County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of July, 1911.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto have been duly acquired as landing reserves: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserves in the Kawhia County Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserves described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Kawhia County, in trust, as landing reserves.
