hereto, to the local authority within seven days
after the last day on which the roll was deposited
as aforesaid. Such notice shall be in duplicate,
and shall state fully the grounds of objection,
and also the full name and address of any ob-
jector.
(10.) The local authority shall cause to be prepared a
list of all objections, if any, to the said roll, and
such list shall state the name and address of the
objector, his number on the roll, and his reasons
for objecting to the valuation or to any other
matter or thing contained in the said roll.
(11.) Such list, or a certified copy thereof, together with
the said roll, shall be submitted to the Stipendiary
Magistrate for the said district, and if there shall
be more than one Stipendiary Magistrate for such
district, then to the senior Stipendiary Magistrate
for the same. The said Stipendiary Magistrate
shall give at least seven days’ notice of the time
and place appointed by him to hear such objec-
tions, and he shall have jurisdiction to hear and
finally determine the same and all matters directly
connected with such objections, and also to make
all such alterations in the said roll as he may think
proper, and shall initial all alterations, additions,
or erasures so made by him, and shall sign the said
roll.
(12.) The roll, when so signed and initialled, shall be
the roll for the portion of the district specified
therein, and shall be delivered by the said Sti-
pendiary Magistrate to the local authority as the
complete roll for the particular rating district or
area to which the same relates.
(13.) Where no objections have been made to the said
roll, the Chairman of the local authority shall
sign the said roll and affix the seal of the local
authority to the same, and such roll shall there-
upon be deemed to be duly authenticated.
(14.) As soon as practicable, the roll so compiled shall
be printed.
(15.) The Secretary shall supply any person with a
copy of any roll, together with a copy of any
supplementary roll, upon payment of one shilling
(1s.).
(16.) The Secretary shall be liable to a penalty not ex-
ceeding five pounds (£5) in every case where
he refuses, or wilfully neglects, or unreasonably
delays—
(a.) To place on the said roll the name of any
person who makes written claim for enrolment as
provided by paragraph (b) of clause 4 of these
regulations; or
(b.) To faithfully and promptly perform any
other duty imposed on him by the said Acts or
these regulations.
(17.) If the Board shall fail or unreasonably delay to
keep at the office of the Board a supply of blank
printed claim-forms for the free use of claimants
as provided by clause 6 of these regulations, or
to faithfully and promptly perform any other
duty imposed on it by the said Acts or these
regulations, every person (whether the Secretary
or any member of the Board) who is party to or
responsible for such failure shall be severally
liable to a penalty not exceeding five pounds (£5).

CLAIM FOR ENROLMENT ON THE ROLL OF ELECTORS FOR THE
SUBDISTRICT [or SPECIAL-RATING AREA] OF
To the Secretary,
I, the undersigned [State full name, occupation, and place
of residence], hereby claim to be enrolled on the roll of
electors of the said subdistrict [or special-rating area] on
the grounds hereinafter set forth:—
- The qualification is possessed by me in my own right
[or, as the case may be, the right of my husband (or
wife)], whose full name is [Set out full name of husband
or wife].
(In the case of a Freeholder’s Qualification.)
- I claim to be enrolled on the freehold list [or roll]
as beneficial owner of a freehold estate in the following
land within the said subdistrict [Set out description of
land by reference to section and block], the capital value
whereof is not less than £25.
(In the case of a Rating Qualification.)
- I claim to be enrolled on the electors list [or roll]
as a ratepayer in respect of the following property within
the said subdistrict:—

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-
seventh day of June, 1911.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
conferred upon him by section seven (b) of the
National Provident Fund Act, 1910, His Excellency the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke Regulation 25
of the regulations under that Act dated the ninth day
of January, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, and
published in the New Zealand Gazette of the nineteenth
day of the same month, and doth hereby make the follow-
ing regulation in lieu thereof.
