rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Birkenhead, comprising Blocks 1, 2, 3, 57 to 67, Sections 1, 2, 5, 7 to 13, of Block 121, 128 to 164, and 227 to 230, all inclusive, of Blocks VII, XI, and XII, Waitemata Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I, John Green Kay, Mayor of the Borough of Birkenhead, certify that the Birkenhead Borough Council, at a meeting held on the 1st day of June, 1911, at which I acted as chairman, passed the foregoing resolution striking a special rate of 1s. 5½d. in the pound to meet interest and sinking fund on a loan of £25,000 as set out in the resolution referred to; and I make this declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and in virtue of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof, and the Horowhenua County Loan Act, 1910, the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £960, authorized to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of discharging liabilities incurred by the construction of the Hautere Water-races, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5/13 of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Hautere Water-race Special District, comprising the whole of the lands included in the Hautere Water-supply District as constituted, as the same is shown on the plan of the said district and coloured red; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Horowhenua County Council held on the 11th March, 1911.

OHINEMURI COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution levying Special Rate.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof, and the regulations thereunder, the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Ohinemuri hereby resolve as follows: That for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of the principal and interest and also other charges on a loan of £2,500, authorized to be raised by the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Ohinemuri, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for the erection and construction of a bridge across the Waihou River near the site of the present ferry joining the Paeroa-Netherton Road at the Puke, such bridge to be used in lieu of the said ferry, the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Ohinemuri do hereby make and levy a special rate of 3/16 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Waihou Bridge Special Rating District, the boundaries of which special rating district are as follows—commencing at a point on the eastern bank of the Piako River where the southern line of Block XIV, Waihou Survey District, intersects the river; thence in a northerly direction along the right bank of the Piako River to the northern boundary of the county; thence in an easterly direction along the northern boundary of the Ohinemuri County to a point where the said line intersects the left bank of the Waihou River; thence in a southerly and easterly direction along the left bank of the said Waihou River; thence across the said river to the Netherton boundary of Section 7084 No. 1b No. 1a, Komata North; thence along the northern boundary of the said Section 7084 No. 1b No. 1a, Komata North, and continuing the said line to the Paeroa-Thames Road; thence in a southerly direction along the Paeroa-Thames Road to a point where the said road intersects the eastern boundary of Section 7084 No. 1b No. 1a, Komata North; thence along the eastern boundary of the said section to the southern boundary of Section 2, Block V, Ohinemuri Survey District; thence along the southern boundary of Section 2, Block V, Ohinemuri Survey District, to the western boundary of Section 15, Block V, Ohinemuri Survey District; thence along the western boundary of Section 15 to Section 5, Block IX, Ohinemuri Survey District; thence along the eastern boundaries of Sections 5, 2269, 5893, 1A2; 5893A, 5893A1, Komata South No. 1A No. 1, 5893-1G, 4742, and Taiwhakarewakauri, all in Block IX, Ohinemuri Survey District; thence along the Goldfields Road to the Tarariki Stream; thence along the Tarariki Stream to the Ohinemuri River; thence along the Ohinemuri River to the southern boundary of Section 1385, Block XII, Ohinemuri Survey District; thence along the southern boundaries of Sections 1385, Block XII, Ohinemuri Survey District, 3803B, Block XII, Ohinemuri Survey District, and Block XVI, Waihou Survey District, Te Waka-o-Tiki, prolonging the line to Section 4280B; thence along the southern boundary of Section 4280B, Block XVI, Waihou Survey District, to the Waihou River; thence along the Waihou River in a northerly direction to the southern boundary of Section 6547 No. 1C, Blocks XV and XVI, Waihou Survey District; thence along the southern boundary of the said Section 6547 No. 1C to its western boundary; thence along its western boundary to Section 6547 No. 1B No. 2, Blocks XV and XVI, Waihou Survey District; thence along the southern and western boundaries of the said Section 6547 No. 1B No. 2 to the southern line of Block XV, Waihou Survey District; thence along the southern line to the said block, and the southern line of Block XIV, Waihou Survey District, to the Piako River, the point of commencement: and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off; and the cost of raising the loan shall be paid out of the loan.

We certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council held on the 1st day of June, 1911; and the common seal of the Council was hereto affixed in the presence of—
