SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN OF OWHANGO.
Town Land.

Owhango is situated on the North Island Main Trunk Railway, 191 miles from Auckland and fifteen miles south of Taumarunui. The main Waimarino–Taumarunui Road passes through the town, and the Hikimutu, Kawautahi, and Oio No. 2 Roads converge upon it.

The sections for the most part comprise flat land, some being part of a natural clearing. The remainder are covered with scrub and bush. The soil varies in quality from light pumiceous to sandy loam, partly on clay and partly on pumice subsoil.

Notifying Lands in Wellington Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Thursday, the tenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

Town Land.

Waimarino is situated on the North Island Main Trunk Railway, thirty-one miles from Taumarunui and twenty-one miles from Ohakune. All the sections are level, and covered with tussock and native grass. The elevation is 2,636 ft. above sea-level. A new tourist coach-road is now under construction from Waimarino to Tokaanu, and when completed will be one of the most interesting drives in the Dominion.

this twenty-third day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Fronts main coach-road, Wellington to Napier. Access is from Mangamaire Railway-station, which is about two miles distant. Flat land, felled and grassed. Soil is of good quality, on shingle formation.

Situated in the Rising Sun Block on the Korora Road at a distance of about fourteen miles from Weber and ten miles from Pongaroa. Easy-sloping land, covered with stunted growth of small manuka and heather. Soil of clay nature, on papa and sandstone formation.
