Situated on the main Blenheim-Nelson Coach-road, about seventeen miles from Havelock. Flat land, varying in quality, adjoining a dairy factory; about 50 ft. above sea-level, but possessing good grazing capabilities.
The right is reserved to the use of the tram-line existing on the land, and also to the present track to Carluke; in
each case for the period of five years from the date of the lease.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Wednesday, the twenty-seventh day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eleven; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

Altitude, 100 ft. to 160 ft. above sea-level. Good soil, on clay subsoil; chiefly worked-out sawmill-areas; level and gently sloping ground, covered with burnt bush; most of the area sown with English grass; all ploughable land when stumped, suitable for cultivation or dairying; part well watered; balance could easily be watered by sinking shallow wells. Distant from Waianiwa Railway-station and dairy factory about four miles, and from school one mile to two miles and a half. Accessible by good gravelled road running within one-eighth mile to one mile and a half from block. The lands are offered subject to existing tramway rights through Sections 57, 58, 60, 61, 63, 64, 65, and 66, until cancelled by the Land Board.

Opening Lands in Nelson Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Wednesday, the ninth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to section one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act, as they contain, or are supposed to contain, metal, mineral, or valuable stone.

Has a frontage to the Reefton-Inangahua-Junction Road and proposed railway. Distant about one mile and a quarter from Inangahua Junction Post-office.
MURCHISON COUNTY.—HOPE SURVEY DISTRICT.

Fair to good soil, on granite and rotten-rock formation; mostly low steep spurs. Forest is principally light birch, with some white and black pine, totara, and rimu; manuka on lower ground; and pepper-tree, fuchsia, &c., undergrowth. Distant about three miles from Owen Junction by formed dray-road.

High spurs and broken country; granite formation. Fair soil, with some good flats near the river; heavy birch bush, with some totara and pine. Access by a formed dray-road about six miles in length from Owen Junction.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Thursday, the tenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.
