Extension of Time for Preparation of County Rolls, &c., County of Horowhenua.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fifth day of May, 1911.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE JAMES CARROLL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that the preparation of the rolls for the County of Horowhenua, and the taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and taken within the times mentioned in the Counties Act, 1908, and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by the said Counties Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the several dates mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be the respective dates for taking the several steps set out in the said Schedule.


SCHEDULE.

  1. For preparing the defaulters list and the rolls for the ridings within the County of Horowhenua: Until the 22nd day of May, 1911.

  2. Time for which such list and rolls shall be open for inspection: From the 27th day of May, 1911, to the 15th day of June, 1911.

  3. Time for appeals against the said rolls: Until the 1st day of July, 1911.

  4. Revision Courts may sit for hearing applications with reference to the said rolls, and adjourn: Until the 21st day of July, 1911.

  5. Time when the said rolls, having been duly corrected and signed, shall come into force: On the 1st day of August, 1911.

Declaring Portion of the Taumarunui-Ohakune Road, in the Kaitieke County, to be a County Road.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fifth day of May, 1911.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE JAMES CARROLL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Kaitieke County, known as the Taumarunui-Ohakune Road, commencing at the road and railway bridge over the Wanganui River, and proceeding generally in a southerly direction through Blocks II, V, VI, and X, Hunua Survey District, and Blocks IV and VIII, Kaitieke Survey District, and terminating at the junction with Patua Road, being a distance of seventeen miles, more or less; as the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 29394, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.
