Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, the Coromandel County Council hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of £2,868 18s. 11d., authorized to be raised by the Coromandel County Council, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, for repaying and clearing off the bank overdraft of £2,868 18s. 11d. existing on the 31st day of March, 1904, lawfully incurred with the Bank of New Zealand by the said Council in connection with carrying out the general purposes for which the said Council has been duly authorized by law, the said Coromandel County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3/16 of a penny in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property in the Coromandel County; and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is lawfully paid off.

I, Samuel James, Chairman of the Coromandel County Council, do hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the said Council held on the 17th day of October, 1910, and was duly confirmed at a meeting of the said Council held on the 22nd day of November, 1910. In testimony whereof the common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Coromandel County has been hereunto affixed.

Resolution made by the Morrinsville Town Board.

THE following resolution, made by the Morrinsville Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 4 of the Local Bodies' Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Morrinsville Town Board hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £1,750, authorized to be raised by the Morrinsville Town Board, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for the following purposes—

(1.) The sum of £1,100 for the construction of extension of storm-water drainage-works in the Morrinsville Town District;

(2.) The sum of £100 for the institution and equipment of a nightsoil service in the said district;

(3.) The sum of £550 for the improvement of the roads, streets, and footpaths in the said district—

the said Morrinsville Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Morrinsville Town District : and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is paid off.

The common seal of the Morrinsville Town Board was hereunto set, affixed, and impressed by order of the Board, in the presence of—

WAIUKU ROAD DISTRICT.

Notice of Result of Poll on the Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Waiuku-Drury Road Special Rating Area, Waiuku Road District, was taken on the 13th day of April, 1911, on the proposal of the Waiuku Road Board to borrow the sum of £400 for the purpose of metalling the unfinished portions of the Waiuku-Drury Road from Cameron's Hill to Packington Hall corner.

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 27. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was nil. I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

TE AROHA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Te Aroha taken on the 20th day of April, 1911, on the proposal of the Te Aroha Borough Council to borrow the sum of £5,000 for the purpose of constructing and improving (including forming, grading, metalling, channelling, bridging, and culverting) the various and several streets in the Te Aroha Borough, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 102, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 10. I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

THE following notices, received from the Mayor of the Borough of Timaru, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908.

BOROUGH OF TIMARU.

We hereby give notice that on the 19th day of April, 1911, the following proposals were submitted by the Timaru Borough Council to the ratepayers of the Borough of Timaru for raising the special loans of the amounts and for the purposes hereinafter appearing, viz.—

Proposal.

(a.) The particular purpose for which the loan is required is for the construction of borough drainage and sewerage works in the area recently added to the Borough of Timaru, and to complete the drainage and sewerage works in the area of which the said borough previously consisted, and for house and other building connections, not exceeding £10 per house or building connection, and for other purposes in relation thereto prescribed by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, or either of them, in both the old and new area of the said borough.

(b.) The sum proposed to be borrowed for such purpose is £36,000, having a currency not exceeding fifty years, and bearing interest and sinking fund together not exceeding £5 10s. per centum per annum, or such greater or lesser amount as may be required and may be allowed by law, for the purpose of this loan and for other purposes in relation thereto prescribed by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, or either of them.

(c.) The proposed security is a special rate of 4d. in the pound sterling on the annual rateable value of all rateable
