Notice suspending Operation of Section 2 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1910, in County of Eden.

PURSUANT to subsection (9) of section 2 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1910, His Excellency the Governor in Council directs it to be notified that the operation of section 2 of the said Counties Amendment Act, 1910, is suspended for a period not exceeding twelve months after the 1st day of April, 1911, in the County of Eden.

Special Order made by the Wanganui County Council altering Ridings.

THE following special order, made by the Wanganui County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1908.

SPECIAL ORDER.

Altering the Number of Ridings and Names and Boundaries thereof.

IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 23 of the Counties Act, 1908, the Wanganui County Council resolves by way of special order as follows :—

The present division of the County of Wanganui into seven ridings is revoked, and in lieu thereof the said county shall be divided into six ridings, to be called respectively Upper Wangaehu Riding, Mangamahu Riding, Mangawhero Riding, Kaitoke Riding, Purua Riding, and Kaukatea Riding, which said ridings are respectively described in the Schedule hereto.

The alteration hereby made shall take effect on and after the 21st day of October, 1911.

SCHEDULE.

  1. The Upper Wangaehu Riding shall be coterminous with the Upper Wangaehu Road District.

  2. The Mangamahu Riding shall be coterminous with the Mangamahu Road District.

  3. The Mangawhero Riding shall be coterminous with the Mangawhero Road District, as defined by special order made on the 8th day of January, 1909, and gazetted on the 26th day of May, 1910, page 1596.

  4. The Kaitoke Riding shall be coterminous with the Kaitoke Road District.

  5. The Purua Riding shall be coterminous with the Purua Road District.

  6. The Kaukatea Riding shall consist of the Kaukatea Road District and the Mataongaonga Road District, as redefined by special order made on the 8th day of January, 1909, and gazetted on the 26th day of May, 1910, page 1596.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly made in accordance with the Counties Act, 1908.
