Appointing Member of Timaru Harbour Board.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

WHEREAS it is enacted by section eleven of the Harbours Amendment Act, 1910, that if any constituent district or combined district fails at any election to elect the required number of representatives, the Governor may by Warrant under his hand appoint such qualified persons as he thinks fit to be the representatives of that district in lieu of those who ought to have been elected :

And whereas the Returning Officer for the Combined District of Tengawai and Point Ridings of the Levels County and the Pleasant Point Town District has reported that no member was nominated to represent that combined district on the Timaru Harbour Board, and consequently there has been a failure to elect :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the hereinbefore-recited power and authority, doth hereby appoint

CHARLES EDWARD STICKINGS

to be the representative of the said combined district on the Timaru Harbour Board.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-sixth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.
