the loan be paid out of the loan, but not the interest and repayment for the first year, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the McHardies Road Special Rating District, comprising part Section 9 (147 acres, occupied by W. A. and Jessie Doughty), parts Section 10 (100 acres 1 rood 23 perches, occupied by Arthur Harper; and 207¼ acres, occupied by John Smith), part Section 11 (100 acres, occupied by Arthur Thoms), part Section 55 (100 acres, occupied by W. F. G. Levin), and Sections 56 and 57, all being situate in Block VII, Rangitoto Survey District, as the said special rating district is more particularly shown upon the plan annexed to the ratepayers’ consent to such loan, and thereon bordered red ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off, the interest and repayment on such loan being together at the rate of £4 17s. 6d. per centum per annum.
I, Bennet Perry Lethbridge, Acting-Chairman of the Rangitikei County Council, do hereby certify that the above resolution was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 1st day of April, 1911.

THE following resolution, made by the Otane Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments.

OTANE TOWN BOARD.
Resolution making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies' Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Otane Town Board resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, or sinking fund, interest, or interest and capital, and other charges on a loan of £300, authorized to be raised by the Otane Town Board, for the purpose of purchasing about 8 acres (more or less) of land to provide a recreation reserve for the Otane Town District, hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1¾d. in the pound upon the annual rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Otane Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, payable on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of said loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off; and it is further proposed that the cost of raising the said loan (but not the first year's interest) shall be paid out of such loan.
We hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the above Town Board this 10th day of April, 1910.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Resolution making Special Rate.—Loan of £250.—Bridge over Rangitikei River at Taoroa.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a further loan of £250 (being 10 per centum of the original loan of £2,500), authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing a traffic-bridge over the Rangitikei River at Taoroa, and to acquire, form, and fence the road of approach thereto, and that the cost of raising the loan be paid out of the loan, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3/32 of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Taoroa Bridge Special Rating District, as described on pages 2814 and 2815 of the New Zealand Gazette of 4th November, 1909, comprising Sections 3, 7, 14, 15, 16, 26, 27, 39, and 41 in Block IV, Hautapu Survey District; Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7 in Block XIV, Pukeokahu Survey District; Sections 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 42, and part 40 (180 acres), and Awarua 2A No. 2A (84 acres), and Awarua 2A part No. 2B (10 acres 2 roods 10 perches) in Block I, Ruahine Survey District; Sections 1, 2, and 2A in Block II, Ruahine Survey District; and scenery reserve, Section 12, in Blocks XIV, Pukeokahu, I, Ruahine, and IV, Hautapu Survey Districts : and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off, the interest on such loan being at the rate of 3½ per cent. per annum.
