Special Order made by the Council of the County of Bruce.

THE following special order, made by the Bruce County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments.

SPECIAL ORDER.

NOTICE is hereby given that, under the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, the following resolutions, to act as a special order, will be proposed for confirmation or otherwise at a special meeting of the Council to be held on the 6th day of September, 1910: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Bruce County Council, under the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, for the formation of a road through Waitahuna East, Hillend, and Table Hill Survey Districts, to Manuka Creek Railway-station, the said Bruce County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3/16 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable property appearing on the valuation rolls now in force; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, and bearing interest at the rate of 3½ per cent. per annum, and to be payable on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan.

Schedule of Special District.

All that portion of Balmoral and Mount Stuart Ridings, comprising Sections 14, 15, Block XI, Waitahuna East, and Sections 15, 19, Block VIII, Sections 6, 9, Block IX, Hillend Survey District; Lot 1A, Barnego Settlement; Lots 21, 22, part 22, Manuka Island Estate; Lots 19, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, Blackburn Settlement; Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 9A, 10, 13, Roxburgh Estate.

The plan of the above special rating roll can be inspected at the County office up to date of confirmation.

A special roll of all ratepayers in the above special rating districts has been prepared, and can be inspected at the County office by all persons interested, and all objections thereto will be heard in the manner prescribed by the Act relating thereto.

I hereby certify that the special order (of which the above is a true copy) was adopted at a special meeting of the Bruce County Council held at the Council Chambers, Milton, on the 2nd day of August, 1910, and duly confirmed at a special meeting of the said Council held at the same place on the sixth day of September, 1910.

OHINEMURI COUNTY.

Kaimanawa Special Rating District.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof and the regulations thereunder, the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Ohinemuri hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of the principal and interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorized to be raised by the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Ohinemuri, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the construction of Robinson’s Road from the Komata North Road to the railway, Kaimanawa Road from the railway to the Waihou River, Komata North Road from Kaimanawa Road to the Waihou River, and Vedder’s Road from the Komata North Road to Sections 3 and 4, Block VIII, Waihou Survey District, the said Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Ohinemuri hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property of the Kaimanawa Special Rating Area, the boundaries of which special rating district are as follows: Commencing at the junction of the Hikutaiā Stream with the Waihou River; thence along the left bank of the said Hikutaiā Stream to the western boundary of the Thames-Paeroa Railway Reserve; thence along the western boundary of the Thames-Paeroa Railway Reserve to the southern boundary of Section 1A No. 4 of Komata North No. 1A, Block VIII, Waihou Survey District; thence along the southern boundary of Section No. 1A to the Waihou River to the point of commencement, which said area contains the following sections and blocks:—
