provision with respect to the representation of any part
of any combined district as he thinks fit :
And whereas the Mount Albert Road District, which
forms part of a combined district for the election of a
member of the Auckland Harbour Board, has been con-
stituted a borough, under the name of the Borough of
Mount Albert, on and from the first day of April, one
thousand nine hundred and eleven, and it is necessary to
make provision for the representation of the said borough
as provided in the said section twelve :
And whereas by Order in Council dated the twenty-
seventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and
eleven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the
second day of March then following, and which was made
under section seven of the said Act, the Levels County
Council was, among other matters, selected and appointed
as the principal authority for the election of a member of
the Timaru Harbour Board by the electors of the Tengawai
and Point Ridings of the Levels County, whereas the
appointment as principal authority should have been for
the combined district of the Tengawai and Point Ridings
of the Levels County and the Pleasant Point Town Dis-
trict, and it is expedient to amend the said Order in
Council accordingly :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the hereinbefore-recited powers and authorities, and acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and
declare that the Borough of Mount Albert shall, on and
from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred
and eleven, form part of the combined district with the
Remuera, Arch Hill, Eden Terrace, Epsom, Mount
Roskill, Mount Wellington, Avondale, Point Chevalier,
Tamaki West, One-tree Hill, Panmure, and Orakei Road
Districts, the Borough of Mount Eden, and the Ellerslie
Town District, in the place of the Mount Albert Road
District, for the election of one member of the Auckland
Harbour Board by the electors thereof ; and doth hereby
select and appoint the Mount Eden Borough Council to
be the principal authority for the said combined district
for the purposes of any such election ; and, with the like
advice and consent, His Excellency doth hereby select
and appoint the Levels County Council to be the principal
authority for the purposes of the election of a member of
the Timaru Harbour Board by the electors of the com-
bined district of the Tengawai and Point Ridings of the
Levels County and the Pleasant Point Town District.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in the Canterbury Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-
eighth day of March, 1911.

THE HONOURABLE JAMES CARROLL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
was heretofore duly set apart for Provincial Go-
vernment purposes, being a reserve within Class I of the
Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 :
And whereas it is expedient that such land shall be ap-
propriated for municipal purposes, being a reserve within
the said Class I :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Do-
minion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves
and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that the said
land shall, from and after the date hereof, be appropriated
for municipal purposes under Class I of the Public Re-
serves and Domains Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing
by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Reserve
No. 1660 (formerly Lots 133 and 135), Town of South
Rakaia. Bounded towards the north-east by the South
Rakaia Road, 200 links ; towards the south-east by Town
Lot 137, 250 links ; towards the south-west by Town
Lots 132 and 134, 200 links ; and towards the north-west
by Bridge Street, 250 links : as the same is delineated on
the plan marked L. 1448/5, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured
brown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-
eighth day of March, 1911.
Present :
THE HONOURABLE JAMES CARROLL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section seven of the Land Settlement
Finance Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred to as βthe
said Actβ), it is provided that, as soon as practicable after
the complete execution of any agreement under the said
Act, application in the prescribed form shall be made to
the Governor, by or on behalf of the purchasers, for an
Order in Council confirming the agreement in pursuance of
the said Act : And whereas by sections eight and nine of
the said Act it is further provided that upon receipt of
such application the Minister of Finance shall refer the
same, together with the agreement, to the Board of Land
Purchase Commissioners for its report thereon, and if the
Board reports that the agreement is fit and proper to
be so confirmed the Governor may, if he thinks fit, by
Order in Council confirm the agreement accordingly : And
whereas under the provisions of the said Act an agree-
ment bearing date the twenty-seventh day of February,
one thousand nine hundred and eleven, has been entered
into between Felix McGuire and Henry Miller, as vendors,
of the one part, and Richard Rogers Hawke, Philip Rogers
Hawke, Alexander Samson, James Samson, James Cotter,
William Corcoran, Florence Rosina Macwilliams, William
James Oates, Celia Taylor, Duncan Beaton, and William
John Montgomery, as purchasers, of the other part, for
the purchase of the land therein described, and the said
purchasers therein agreed to become incorporated as the
Martha Land Settlement Association : And whereas ap-
plication has been made in the prescribed form for the
issue of an Order in Council confirming the said agree-
ment : And whereas the said application, together with
the said agreement, was referred to the Board of Land
Purchase Commissioners for its report, and the Board has
reported that no roading is required in respect of the said
land, and that the said agreement is fit and proper to be
so confirmed :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred on him by the said Act, His
Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby confirm the said
agreement dated the twenty-seventh day of February, one
thousand nine hundred and eleven.

WHEREAS the Waitemata County Council has passed
a resolution as provided by section two of the
Counties Amendment Act, 1908 :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers
vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that, pur-
suant to the said resolution, the number of the members of
the said Waitemata County Council is hereby increased to
eleven.
