Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

His Majesty’s Assent to the Shipping and Seamen Amendment Act, 1909, and Date Act comes into Operation.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the Constitution Act it is, amongst other things, provided that no Bill reserved for the signification of His Majesty’s pleasure thereon shall have any force or authority within the Dominion of New Zealand until the Governor of the said Dominion signifies by Speech or Message to the Legislative Council and the House of Representatives of the said Dominion, or by Proclamation, that such Bill has been laid before His Majesty in Council, and that His Majesty has been pleased to assent to the same:
And whereas a certain Bill passed by the Legislative Council and House of Representatives of the said Dominion intituled “An Act to amend the Shipping and Seamen Act, 1908,” the short title of which is the Shipping and Seamen Amendment Act, 1909, was presented to the Governor for His Majesty’s assent, and the said Bill was reserved for the signification of His Majesty’s pleasure thereon:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the provisions of the said in-part-recited Act, do by this Proclamation signify and proclaim to all whom it may concern that the said Bill has been laid before His Majesty in Council, and that His Majesty has been pleased to assent to the same; and I do further declare that it shall come into operation on the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Amending Part of a Proclamation taking Land for a Road, and closing Road, in Block VII, Opaheke Survey District, Hunua Road District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section five of the Land Act, 1908, it is therein provided that every Proclamation, Order in Council, and other instrument, whether made under or by virtue of this Act or any former Act, and all regulations, by-laws, conditions, or rules made by the Governor, the Minister, or any Land Board, may be altered, amended, or revoked from time to time:
And whereas it is necessary to amend a Proclamation issued under the said Act, taking land for a road, and closing a road in Opaheke Survey District, dated the twelfth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and ten, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twentieth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and ten, and herein referred to as “the said Proclamation”:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby alter and amend the said Proclamation by deleting the First Schedule of the said Proclamation and inserting in place thereof the Schedule hereto, and by inserting the figure 9 before the figures 10 in the first line in the second column of the Second Schedule to the said Proclamation.
